Rediff, do you have any quality control system at all? Whatever made you publish such poor advice? As a pharmaceutical and nutrition expert, I can confidently say that this advice is essentially worthless, except for advice to avoid sweets and alcohol. Even the latter in moderation in the form of red wine would be acceptable. PLEASE improve the quality of the articles you publish.
We have too many experts giving useless advises. Now think about it..youcan't eat watermelon ! You can't drink tea, You can't eat non veg.You can't have some vegetables because they have plant toxins if not pesticides sprayed on it! Best thing is to look for some good causes and gon hunger strike in front of parliament.
This is one off the useless articles I have ever seen on Rediff. So according to the writer it will be better that we go the Anna Hazare way of fasting? In this list, he has described all the food items which are considered good for health, like Green Tea. Strange, why such articles are posted in the first place itself!!!

I completely agree with you, I donno in rediff, who writes and approves these articles, one of the write up says "Artificial sweeteners etc though having zero calories also are sweet so once taken they again release insulin in the body very fast causing rapid rise in glucose levels and again weight gain". there are three medically controversial and false statements here. I am a doctor and I can vouch for what I say. Rediff should abstain from providing such false information to the readers
