by Ezhumalayan on Jan 09, 2011 04:15 PM

Why remove news on Modi's positive efforts?
why remove such good news as the tricolor mission by Modi in seconds...? To prove your unpatriotic communal attitude in Hindu india..??

A few questions
by S S on Jan 09, 2011 04:06 PM

1. Business even in multi national companies across India is conducted in local/Hindi language. Therefore if a MBA student is coached in his/her local language its not a problem is it?

2. Almost all the organisations I have worked with had managers from across the spectrum and barring the first job the degree did not play much of a role in anything other than jumping jobs therefore a sound B school qualification as opposed to a high profile one is good enough isn't it?

3. By insinuating that business education needs to be in English only, the author has belittled the quality of education in other languages such as French, Swedish, German etc and that certainly isn't the case is it?

4. What's with this women wanting to get married from tier 3 schools. Well it also happens to women from Tier 1 B schools thats just a personal choice and familial circumstances. Is there emperical evidence to back the authors claims?

Finally one of the most important aspects of doing your MBA is to respect the sanctity of data and thats precisely what this author has not done.

Hypocrisy Pays

The author has emphasized 2 points:Some MBA qualifications are useless and importance of learning Selling. What has been conveniently ignored that a tribe trained in 'selling, marketing, innovating and public-relation' achieved their business success by diluting standards of MBA education, as we are seeing now.Hypocrisy pays.

Whose fault ?
by vishwabandhubajpai on Jan 08, 2011 07:04 PM

When easy money seems flowing in ,the management jumps for encreasing seats without faculty fit enough, then MBA is converted to a degree course like BA or MA,no outing practical experiences, then the get degree excercise at exam level. That is how the business runs.Output is so high that all MBAs even if they be capable, can't be adjusted and placed in jobs.Instead self enterprenuership should be tought.Fortunate will be those girls those who could get their home that way.Jub crisis is so high that god only know where will these degree holder ,not only they, but experienced -will goto ?

I find thedicussio fruitless. The girls in India will come to professional courses and many of them may marry andraise family. There is nothing wrong as the education isinsurance ofthegirl.
Talking of AICTE regulation it is foolish for Govt to control when a better curriculum can beoffered by any one. It shd be on merit if therfe are changes. When I introduced in Fore, Eastern management no one taught it in thecountry. I had to make it an additional item.We should know sthe reality of the cousntry andits culture and teach what is needed. We should also teach what cororate world needs. How may elite shcool teachers or directors have managed corporations and shown results? Neither the Minisstry nor the elite shools know the way. We need to Ponder.Prof N.K.Singh
