sorry in northeast woman can trevel safly , no doubt rare cases we heared during our stay in northeast last 15 years, n if any day we hear any thing like tht definatly non northeastern person involved in the incident

If you will read newspapers around Gaziabad,Noida and Gurgaon, you will find too many cases about women disrespect and attacks....
I can say with pride that women can go alone in AHMEDABAD, VADODARA & OTHER CITIES of Gujarat day & Night. Rikshawallah at the station are humble & respect the gender.

One cannot guarantee about this. It just a matter of chance that a person can change....So place does not matter, what matters is respect....
It is not all safe for ladies to travel alone in any part of India. This is mainly because that the law is so twistable in our country provided you have both the muscle and money power. Further the conviction rate is so poor that it takes sometimes even a decade to decide the case. Police deptt is also corrupt. More so, politicians and power brokers are always available when you have money to nail the victim at their will. The latest example is that of ShineyThis situation is more serious in States like Bihar and U.P.

That's where we struggle....Nobody can stop politics what we can do is choose the person whom we think is best and then leave it to him....The rules and regulations in this country cannot change overnight...We cannot stop corruption,only this which we can do is to minimize it so that less amount of people gets affected....

Percentage wise if you take, the moslestation cases are one out of ten thousand. That is also becasue of the careless attitude of the girls/women and their parents.

It can improve if every person in this country respect WOMEN and support them so that they can grow and move with everyone around them....
Women are not safe in India especially in the north. Delhi is rape capital of the world, other places in north are even worse. Northie women are safer in south than their home towns, villages, cities etc.

You can not tell when and where anything could happen....So there is no such protocol which states Women are safe in North or South....This all depends on the Situation and time....

yes dear Chatur it definately is. i have travelled in most islamic countries and have found that india is the safest place for muslims to live in. however there are some idiots (like you)here too,who cause unnessary hatered, out of context and without any rime or reason amongst civilised indian society.

Yes its obvious that they have to take precautions....However it does not matter when the real situation comes...
Forget it, no Indian is safe in India. Especially after Mumbai attack. If it is not advisable for women to travel alone in India, it is no different for men too. It seems the article is farce and aimed to capture headlines but with no content.
