After all what is wrong with this?Dont we have caste based reservations prescribed by constutution? When in education or in jobs you have a caste based system how can we ignore this reality just because now we can flaunt a laptop, mobile or ipod or eat burgers and pizzas in fast food joints or watch english flicks in multiplexes or dress outrageously and obscenely and use choicest english swear words in public? All this show off western effect cant hide the truth about ourselves.
There are still a large majority who need this caste based system's protective policies to survive and sustain themselves. If we thought of all this real issues facing over 40% of our population , we would not be making a hue and cry about caste based census?A handful of well off section of population (max 12-15%) are tryinng to set the agenda for the government in league with a blinkered and over hyped media.

Cast can be vanished
by Anand Rajguru on May 26, 2010 11:25 PM  | Hide replies

I think before getting wound one should take precaution. I hvae one method to ellinate cast system. One should start a course of being a Brahman in 4 year and it should be along with our regular 4 to 8th class. Make the student Brahman and there will be no cast afterwods. So the syllabus will be All vedas, Bhagvatgeeta, upanysa etc. So all the backward people become Bramhan and there will no more cast system. Please strictly follow this system. So our society will be first class and nobody will suffer. Only the dificiecy in bakward class is there culture and nothing. So give them good cultural training and you will see results.

I don't make u think that Brahmins are good cultured and rest are not.

Where as the facts are different from ur thoughts.

Culture doesn't mean the knowledge abt veda etc.. its abt how human u r.. respect for other human being.. caring for other human being.. this is culture.....

Mr Johnny missed the point. What defines a brahmin? Inspite of having knowledge a brahmin serves people. A Bramhin student is supposed to get his education by asking for alms from society. A brahmin is supposed to be humble, wise man.
Your statement clearly comes from lack of knowledge about the content of the vedas or vedic life.

Black Caste, favouritsm, corruption, nepotism, rapes, woman atroc
by Ravi Palwankar on May 26, 2010 11:24 PM

The only cure to remove caste, castiesm, favouritsm, corruption, nepotism, rapes, woman atrocities, etc. etc..

is by the way of removal of black money, fake currencies.

The simplest method is to print new currencies having totally new design( i.e. Mahatma Gandhi's) image tobe replaced by new design( may be a secular design).
Printing New currency with new design (totally different from the old one) should be done atleast every alternate year.
This will clean the soceity of all the negative ailments.

either do away with all the non SC/ST with a special weapon which can identify those creatures or why? the reservation policy if extended continuously will eventually do away with them and then it will the SC/ST rajyam only. Dont worry, the day is not far..

I would vote for that...Let all the upper caste be with their fellow people whom they consider as brothers. And a different country for the remaining castes (and religions), where people can live like human beings like rest of the countries in this world.

Even after 100yrs caste system will be persist in india, because the upper caste ppl will never giveup there caste as caste makes them to be united, and save there biz and property and avoids any new comer looting them. So called SC/ST they will also not give up there caste.. because they feel that they get benefits from govt.....

As long as people get free incentive from something they won't give up...

In America there is no system in place today that forces people to remain separate or keeps one class subservient to another.
If you were born the son of a street sweeper, but excelled, you could become a doctor or lawyer or some celebrity or entrepreneur - and at the same time you would be fully accepted by your peers.

Not so in India. The Caste system freezes everyone in place. It is extremely difficult - almost impossible - for someone from the lowest Caste to rise in education and social status.

A Dalit would never be allowed to marry into one of the higher castes and would never be accepted as an equal.
And for a Dalit to make it into bollywood, medical school or operate a restaurant or become a priest in a temple or become a member of high society in India is very rare indeed.

You can move from one class to another in America(e.g Obama became President of USA)
You must not move from one caste to another in your life time in India(e.g. Ambedkar could not become Prime Minister of India)

That is bull crap. many bollywood celebs are from either minority or so called lower cast same applied from politics and in that manner many CM or central ministers blongs to Lowercast. Our last respected President was from so called minority and if you say that dalit would not allowed to marry upper cast is also a crap. i know many so called dalit married to upper cast. But i guess dalit if you fell you are dalit than no one can help you but if you think as an indian than everyone is equal and share same rights.

But yes we are divided on basis of cast and religion and many more things. SO be inidian and help REMOVING cast based reservation.

Stud.. you know why the reservation exists in the first place ?.
Coz the lower caste in India were slaves for centuries. They were not allowed dress fully, not allowed keep money, not allowed even to walk in the street in which upper caste were walking. People used to sell their dalit servant's children to other upper caste family. It would have remained same if British has not come here. And 80% of Indian population should be more thankful to the British rulers than the Indian rulers of past.

And ever wondered why India is not doing any good in any sports ? despite being the second biggest in population ? it is simply coz 800m of 1b were/are not allowed to compete in sports from there childhood days.
