As long as we use surnames denoting caste, caste cannot be removed. In some part of the country, especially Tamil Nadu, no body adds surname. But our great leaders like Sonia "Gandhi", Lalu "Yadav", Mulayam Singh "Yadav", Mani Shankar "Aiyar", Anand "Sharma" are seriously(!) fighting castism
caste is creation of upa led by sonia gandhi to perpuate itl rule over india till etertunity if congress is so keen over casta let it reserve the post of PM for sc /st /obc /minority for next 25 years

the pm post when the congis are in power has only one reservation.that is reservation for the gandhu dynasty or their appointees.the presidents post of the congis can never be disputed and it will be handed down to the next in line of the gandhu dynasty.

OM it was the oposition which includes BJP that forced Congess to add caste to census, get the pacts right mate
In India for up holding the caste fame most of the elite, educated people are having caste as surname like Iyer, Iyengar, Gandhi, Nehru, Gandhi, Gupta, Choudhary, Chatterjee, Banerjee, Sharma, Pandit, Reddy, Dikshit, Pande Khurmi, Nair, Pillai, Nadar, Udayar, Rajput, Gujar, Khurmi, Agarwal, Arora. Except Dalits and some of the poor Backward Classes, all are having the Castes identity. Castes plays vital role in marriage, culture, social life, economical life of all Indians. Because of the affirmative reservation policy Dalits and Backward Classes poor people have come up. So, castes wise census is must.
Some of politicians have adopted the strategy to divide and rule. Thay actually highjacked the parliament by their rude behaviour. Most of the MPs are well behaved, educated and sincere and that`s why they don`t oppose their unparliamentry act. Such few MPs know that they have vote bank and to keep intect such vote bank the rude behaviour against the nation are necessary. They oppose each and every change which are going towards betterment of the sociaty and general public. Even their steps are against the vote bank of those politicials.
when you can separate the world on the basis of nations, a nation on the basis of state and even language, what s wrong in having a caste.
Moreover the government has different rules and allowance based on caste, so dosn it become important to know how many are benifitted/affected because of the caste.
Its high time we stop engaging ourselves in these type of things. We all are Indian. Where everybody in the world is concerned about global warming, protection of rare species of wild animals/ birds, human rights, education, poverty alleviation, per capita income etc. etc. We are wasting this invaluable time in engaging ourselves in casteism, changing the names of states/ cities and other unproductive issues.
We should stop segregating people on the basis of caste and religion. Instead the income criterion alone should be the basis for reservation. Is there any differene in the blood flowing in different categories of people. So when God has not made any distinction, why should men do that. It is done solely to serve his self-interest.
