I would go a step forward and would say that castism should not be there even in study and job also. Otherwise, u give option to convert oneself into any caste...

it will be solved only if we remove the SURNAME from our name..
its the indian old age mentality.. you cant erase so easily.. there are people with good & bad thinking. some people support their own cast and favour them..
Congress have always been teh best in playing the caste based politics, and they will never try to remove the caste difference from the society, It is just one more step to further devide people based on caste, Britishers used seperate elections for hindus and muslims and congress is really inspired by them

All political parties play dirty politics using caste. In any application forms be it in education / job or anything else, the column "caste" should be removed. Only then India will really develop. Until then we still will be in the list of poor developing country
Govt. should to stop the vote bank policy. Instead of caste they think about the poverty. A person who belong to below the poverty link his/her caste may be any...
If they really want to help to grow the nation then leave the thinking like caste wise.
Unfortunatly, Politicians are ruled this country with power.. No campaign can do anything which includes media., You need to see Rastriya Dal,Samajwadi etc, BSP., Caste, Caste Caste We are not Indians...We are not Indians....

Dalits often have five to six kids, but they are confident of placing them easily and well,and we are now dying for jobs.Is this justice ?
Britishers were divided us on religion. Politicians are dividing us on caste. My caste is only Indian. Census should be base on education, finance, employment, business and profession. JagdishSharma
