yes in india there should be always riots on the basis of hindu-mushlim-sikh-ishai. if it is not sufficient then there should be riots on the basis of castes. if it is also not enough ,then on the basis of region,language(look at raj thakrey). since we are vote- bank based democracy there should be always riots. jai ho politics, jai ho politicians.......

We need subcaste based census , subcaste people shd be counted.
Time to file a PIL in supreme court to ensure counting each subcaste population and reservation should be provided based on subcaste , in OBC (few dominant caste like meena ,etc) are eating whole of the reservation pie , which is unacceptable , gurjars should get separate pie of reservation so that they are not afraid of meenas ,etc .
Why rediff given title as "campaign against caste in census"? The title itself is WRONG. It should be "campaign against caste". 'in cencus' should be removed.
In fact our system is widely based on "reservations" and for that we should know the exact figures. Unless until there are reservations the caste will remian and for that we should know those numbers.
So either remove caste and those reservations (for united India) or we should include caste in cencus to take better decisions.
High caste people oppose caste based reservation because of their opposition to lower caste people getting reservation in jobs and education.Can high caste people allow their family member to marry member of low caste?can this socity give respect to low caste people same like others?
I am against caste based census if only intention of higher caste people is good!!

In current situation, so called high caste people are actually disgraced people deprived of opportunities in education and employment. Even so called one lower caste don't marry another so called lower caste - so what you had said about marriage makes no sense. For marriage, no matter if it is higher or lower caste - it has to be in same caste.

This campaign is a true nonsense. Whoever is against cast based census, are they ready to throw away their caste when it comes to reservation in studies and jobs? Why do you need your caste then? Rediff and others who support this campaign - just be sensible. At least caste based census will give true picture on the status and percentage of people belong to each caste that can be used to streamline the reservation system properly.

it is not in your hand to take a birth in in a perticular caste. so why u devide people in cast and give the reservation. talent is not a caste based criteria. give consession to them who are economicaly wick. no caste based reservation.

I am fully in support of economy based reservation and abondaning caste based reservation. But as long as caste based reservation is in practice, caste based census is also must. If you oppose caste based census, first caste based reservation should be scrapped.

they will never scrapped it. they want caste based census for their political advantage.
Caste has always been misused by politicians and in current India there are several caste based policies in all walk of life. Either we should remove all the present schemes based on caste or we should do a caste based head count. Only people below certain income level should get the benefits that too only limited to one or 2 child per family.
First Question- Origin of child- Parents Name- Religion this is mentioned birth Certificate.
Second Question:- Admission in School Same data is required to fill form
Third Question: When apply for job Are you OBC/SC/ST/ Muslim ??? If you are of the said communities, WELCOME!!! You have reservation IRRESPECTIVE OF YOUR ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE.
WELL HUNDREDS OF SUCH QUESTIONS COULD BE QUOTED.
SO WHATS HARM IN HAVING A CLEAR CENSUS DATA??????
