Helpless Males
by IndianBond on Jun 21, 2010 05:13 PM  | Hide replies

The situation for males in India is really helpless. You have :

01) Section 498 A where you can put the husband in prison as simple as like ordering a pizza from PIZZA HUT

02) You have Domestic Violence Bill

03) You have now the Sexual Harrassment Bill

04) And above all the plethora of womens rights activists / organisations.

Its just like the persecution of Jews under NAZI GERMANY leading to the holocaust

REALLY NO HOPE FOR MALES

Working Women Against Nature
by Sharad Gupta on Jun 21, 2010 05:12 PM  | Hide replies

Nature has created man to earn and women to consume it (for the welfare of family). In this country of Scarcity of jobs, its inhuman to have Two salaries in one family and no salary in another.
I Areas Like Engineering Etc They are Utter Misfit In The Organisation.
Certain Areas Like Nursing , teaching, house keeping etc should be reserved for women where as the rest shd go to men.

A most valid point...I, as a Male, fully support it.
This school of thought, though not unduly descriminatory is hugely abused and scorned by female activists(female chauvinists I should say) n power hungry politicians.

Women should be confined to traditional nursing, teaching and hospitality jobs alone unless someone is highly meritorious and fully fits the job.

They not only plunge the society into economic imbalance but also contribute to the chaotic social frenzy..

.Colleges, tutions, travelling,
hotels, ANYWHERE harrassment can happen to women.....
And anywhere Men can get tempted,
too, by women's provocative dressing.

Tempting should also be taken as an offence.....

Men may be good at double-meaning talk.....
but Women also are good at double-meaning dressing/gestures/postures...

I can not understand one thing....
WHY women dont want to cover up their bodies????
Dressing is all about covering....
otherwise it is 'undressing'.

These days pants are going lower and lower...
and tops are going higher and higher....

I this is called CRAZINESS....

We have to differentiate the wise and the crazy way of life....
And that's the only solution....
..
Now.... please nobody should bring my ISLAM

If men are getting vegetables to boss does not mean doing fleshy favors are legitimate acts. which females resort to.

It is better to proper dress code designed by law for working women. This may avoid lot of things like indirect temptations at office.

A lesson to Publishers who run after women writers
by apply now on Jun 21, 2010 04:40 PM

What do you mean by "impeccable track record"? You look at the number of female novelists got published during last 10 -15 years from Penguin.
Almost all are freshers and 90 % of the novels are thrash which no body will publish. If a new comer male tries to get his work published nobody listens . And if they hear that some beautiful girl has written something they will go to her.It is a known fact that a literary agent flew to India to publish a lady's work before some other publisher snatches her away.It is good that such realities could be pointed out even in such situations.
Like Indian women the western women will not keep such things secret.David's experience should be an eye opener to all publishers who run after women writers.

... but i think, sexual harrasment is something very old. In this generation both sex understands and mutually respects each other at the work place. I dont think, it is in existence in large cities. But i dont know about BPO's & call centres, where i heard many stories... but those again does'nt amount to harrasement

Loss-loss situation everywhere
by Vikram Shenoy on Jun 21, 2010 04:36 PM  | Hide replies

Its a loss-loss situation for good people everywhere. Sexual harassment laws are for only for those women want success without hardwork or those who want to seek revenge on their male counterparts. Women who believe in hardwork and principles dont waste time thinking of these laws. They quit the jobs and tend to find better ones.

You are absolutely right; Every person irrespective of gender who wants to work hard and believe in principles requires to try extra hard just to get his/her due. It is a sad situation.
