We have seen young children chained to beds, thrown out in the streets but still she got this with the help of media. Our great Mahatms could not get but a evangelist who came here for conversion became a saint and in turn a Nobel. We.your countrymen have already given you Nobel.
Anand Kumar's selfless passion and work to uplift the economically weaker section of society deserves great praise. He deserves to be recognized and awarded for his vision and also execution of his great vision for these economically backward rural children.
instead of giving civilian awards like padmashree etc to dhobi, dundulkar and bollyword chokras people like him must be awarded. hope goverment understands.!!!!
All those readers who say : learning English is stupid, "babu" life is hardly a life or lets give them resources before making them IIT students - what's your contribution guys? :). It's easy to be armchair critics. These are kids who probably can't even afford a meal. If you give them money/ sponsors they won't even know how to manage that properly. If they don't know how to speak in English, forget a decent job, a piddly clerical job would reject them, and for these kids who earn every penny with back-breaking child labor - babu life is a LOT. Most of all, they are not just getting "literacy" .. they are getting "educated" - their talent being tempered with modesty, humility and an intention to contribute back. They would end up much better than the "babu"s as you put it. Anand is doing SOME PROGRESSIVE work. He has a positive dream. If we can't contribute, we should shut the trap and atleast be humble and acknowledge those who are doing it.
India where majority could not understand, read, write english.......still use of english what a pity......Daily use of consumer stuff ingredients explanation are in english, in center institutes study is in english, in government courts work is in english.........after 60 years of independence , where is the progress......in india where english is language of literate fellow ......everyone is busy in learning english.....what a shit on indians

Mr. Cochinjam .... I think that term "USELESS" is more suitable for you .... from your comments it is understood that you are of no use , atleast do not try to use disparaging remarks like "beggars" for the struggling chaps. If you dont know how to praise, keep mum.
I fell so small and useless reading about anand, in spite of resources I have done nothing to help others, other than making money for my self. I FELL LIKE A FLY.
