I fell so small and useless reading about anand, in spite of resources I have done nothing to help others, other than making money for my self. I FELL LIKE A FLY.
Anand kumar's work is indeed commendable. However, there is absolutely no guarantee that a person with an IIT degree is going to continue with a passion for research in India (after higher edu.). I know many IITns continuing research in western countries but never could work in India as they failed to find get into a research career in India. This was because selection processes in India are never based on merit. As long as Indians fail to recognize merit, no amount of IIT or any high standard institution products are going to help. The reservation and corrupt mentality of our nation needs to change!
I hope Mr Anand Kumar will get other like-minded people from other states to start similar set-ups. May there be many more Anand Kumars in India. India needs them badly.
It is more important to solve problems on hand than win Nobel prizes. There are many nations who don't have nobel winners but effectively use technology/processes to improve day to day lives of ordinary citizens.

cant agree more..kudos...for making "slum" children realize cherished dreams of babus...but a babu life is hardly a life...
If George Bush and Obama can win nobel price for peace then nobel prize is nothing worth more than mud . Even Obama was surprised when he won this prize. These nobel award people are bootlickers.
All awards are fixed . Better do something constructive rather than hoping for an award.
