Nice 2 see that so many people have come up in favour of what is correct..But my dear friends we so many people r still in minority in our country. And those who r in majority would say that these hotels r far more worthier to stay than their home where those people live.Cleanliness in the hotels r often in the hands of these people...At least a good beginning is must...

Dhiraj, poor thingking on your part. People are charged in staying these hotels and not get paid!
I have frequented Hotel Ginger in many cities and its maintenance is excellent and added advantage is no Room Service. Even the Tariff is quite affordable.
Yes indeed there are many low budget hotels where the upkeep is abysmal and no surprise you get caught with contagious diseases latter without knowing the cause for the same when you approach the doctor.
Since the occupancy rate of all hotels are below average, they offer discounts to make up for the lost revenue compromising hygiene.
Health departments should make periodical checkups to monitor the maintenance which seldom being done as they are taken care off regularly.
Corruption is in born in the mind of majority indians and they are carried away by cheap gimmicks in all fields.

its better to stay away from such hotels considering health point. Dont think that all foreigners are clean and hygiene. There are few tourists who bathe once a month and shave as and when they feel irritaged. Ofcourse our indian girls falls for them.
cleanliness is next to Godliness while dirtiness is Godliness itself..... don't get carried away by these reviews. All this cleanliness shit is false vanity. The ideas of cleanliness are based on customs, cultures and geographical regions. Don't look through westerners view point. we are worlds apart in many things.
As of pakis. their population and country is no comparison to india. all the paki dawgies here have been eating americannn shytt since the tyme their nation was born. pakis will hang around india cos they don't have independent lives... they should rename their country slavistan :P

"Don't look through westerners view point". So the 'Easter' approach to cleanliness is different ? Like sleeping with bed bugs, cockroaches, broken taps etc ?

"dirtiness is Godliness itself"? Are you some kind of bloody nut job? People are paying good money to stay in a hotel and expect nothing more than a clean room and you are bringing up this religious drivel?

...but then again, we come from a culture where people drink their morning water (and cow pee too). Makes one proud, doesn't it?

only those hotels...........have some level of cleanliness...buddy you do have a real sense of humour.Myself and our company guests (from abroad) were appaled to see our dinner being served (at a prestigious 7* hotel) by a waiter with dirtiest fingernails I've ever seen.
Govt needs to imply a new rule, like: if the customer is not happy with the room, the hotel or trip advisor should pay back the customer his full amount 25% for the poor maintenance of the hotel...

Then probably every guest even after being satisfied, will protest about not being happy and ask for the refund. Hee Hee Hee
In most hotels in India, the people those who are engaged in cleaning are the third rate people Who have no proper education or qualification. Besides, cleanliness and hygiene are things which one learns in ones own family first, if he or she has not learnt from his or her parents he or she cannot practice in public.
