Re: Udupi (not udipi) is in Karnataka. by chandran on Feb 15, 2010 01:52 PM Infact the Dakshina Kannada District (Including Udupi District) was under the Presidency of Madras during British Raj.Obviously all the udipi (Udupi) Brahmins have migrated to , Mumbai, Chennai(Madras), Banalore etc.to put up their restaurants.Obviously Majority of the ppl think and call the restaurants as Madrasi Restaurants.    Forward   |   Report abuse
