I lend Rs 3k to a not-so-close friend. He told he will return it as soon as his next salary comes. It has become 3 years since he borrowed that money from me. But, it seems that he became oblivious of the money i lend or lost the "quantum of memory" about his borrowed money from his brain. he dint even talked one word about that money since now.. But, he talks with me as usual.
There are some people who borrow money and return. They are good. There are some who are poor. They want to return but, due to their financial problems, they cannot. We should help them and not at all feel bad if they do not return. After all, they are our friends.
However, there are also people who have financial problems, borrow lots of money from different people, spend all the money in just a few days and again become poor. These are the kinds of people who should not be lent any amount. Some years back one colleague of mine borrowed Rs. 35,000 from me. That was a huge amount for me. I knew that if I did not get the money back, I would face problems. Still I gave him the money because he said that his elder sister, who was in another city, was hospitalised and her condition was very serious. The promised due date of returning the money arrived and many months after that passed, but he did not return my amount. Then one day, he was terminated because he had cheated the company, where we were working, of several lakhs of rupees. After that, I came to know that he had borrowed money not only from me, but from many other people as well. I also came to know that the story of his sister being ill was a lie. He had cheated the company of some lakhs of rupees and he had also borrowed some lakhs from his colleagues.

But, as I came to know from another person, who was a regular visitor to his home, his family's financial condition was very bad; they often even struggled for some basic necessities. This is because he used to spend all the borrowed amount in luxuries. Thus, inspite of borrowing and cheating of hundreds of thousands of rupees, he remained poor. It has been some years since that incident. I never got my money back.
Ramu asked peter ,"what a pity,You fell on ur knees and beg to him to borrow $5000". Peter replied "You only saw me fall down and beg once.for the same $5000 You will see how many time he will have to fall on his knees and beg me to get back his money back, haha"

IF YOU WANT TO HELP SOMEONE, NEVER EXPECT ANYTHING IN RETURN. IF YOU ARE EXPECTING SOMETHING, BETTER YOU DO NOT HELP.
