the moral is : If you are trying to help your friend .. dont expect any return. He may not be in a position to help you out when you need him...that wont mean he has bad intent...BELEIVE YOUR FRIENDS

Accountability is the key
by Pardeep Kansal on Aug 03, 2010 12:54 AM

Very True. This is really a good advice. I would like to add one more thing which I learned from a friend of mine who is rich and sometimes lend money to others. Whenever somebody demand good sum of money from him he will inquire about the need and also gives some other possibilties like Why cant the other person demands from his/her parents? Wat about credit card/loan or advance from the company. Now when borrower gives reasons that why cant he go for any of the other option he gets an idea about the need, as well as financial condition, intentions etc. If found genuine he lend money. Also, if somebody asks for a small amount of 50/- or 100/- he always give 500/- without question. First of all borrower is happy as he received more than asked but one same time he can be made accountable. Accountability is the key factor in long term relationships.

I know you are joking. But, to be serious, I rarely borrow money and when I borrow I make sure to repay it. Unless I have repaid, I feel tension.
