lend and destroy the relation
by hari shankar singh on Aug 02, 2010 02:56 PM

If you have given money, its is your responsibility to maintain the relation. Borrower always wish to destroy it so that you do not demand it back. Refusal may harm the relation for a while but lending permanatly.

ha ha.. rediff guys now would change the meaning of friendship. when the time is in ur favour u would find many friends around. A friend in need is a friend indeed.
if u cant help your friend in financial crisis although u r capable then there is no meaning to become a friend to someone. You have to be matured when u lend or burrow money from to/ur friend. yes u have to be practical but not at the cost of leaving ur friend beg in front strangers.if u r lending money to ur friend then dont let him feel that he is indebted ie what is friendship. Be practical, Help ur friend with the amount you r comfortable with. dont get money from someone else to help ur friend unless u r very sure that he can pay it back or u can manage.

You are right in ur views but for people who have been cheated by so called friends it is very difficult to trust any friends in future

i meant lending money to very close friends whom you have always think part of ur life/family. a friend is close when u understand him/her really well. A friend might not be wealthy enough to return you back immediately then it is your call that how much u could help him without putting much burden on yourself. A friendship is itself an investment. U invest time and sometime money in it. it always pays you back when the intent is right. Just be a little thoughtfull when u lend money. Its a worthy and well calculated risk.
