Getting into NDA is probably the toughtest exams requiring brains and Brawns. In today's money oriented scenarios, probably the defense officers command a great respect for their integrity and commitment to serve the country. I shall put up this article in my Orthodontic Clinic as an example for my young patients Dr.Chintamani Kale
It is people like you who can ignite mind of many money following individuals who has no satisfaction of any kind when then reach 40..including me by the way!...We all are indeed proud of you..
It is indeed heartening to read how you liked the NDA.I, too am ex-NDA and spent 3years there. If you read this, send me your e-mail address and I will send you an article I wrote about my life there. All the best, do well Sriram.Col Mir Ahmed Shah (Retired)

sir can you send me a copy of that article(majumdar_pk at rediffmail.com) my son is also in NDA-VIth term India Sqn. I will pass it to my son.
Being an army wife and an engineer MBA mysel, i can say that some people are just born to be in army. I am proud to say that my husband did not fill any application form for any graduation course apart from SSB. He was 25th in rank in NDA entrance. Hence i can say that some people are just born to be in the armed forces. Also i feel good people would do good anywhere in any field, in anyways for the nation. Happy for Cadet S M Sriram that his dream has come true. Wish you best luck ahead.
This is the utmost selfless service that has been opted for. As an Engineer , I also wanted to join the Indian Defence but our Branch of Engineering that time in 1975 , was not recognised and hence , now for last 5 years , towards the fag end of my career span , I did get the opportunity to serve the Indian Defnce , from other side of the table , which I grabbed with both hands and today , I am very contended that , I could offer some great engineering solutions to the problems of Indian Navy. In fact , tomorrow , I am supposed to address the gathering of Engineering Students as reagrds Careers and Prospects , wherein , I am personally going to advertise this Sriram's article. Bravo Shriram. You have done proud to every Indian.

The moron part and that "he will also die like helpless jawans in Dantewada" is highly objectionable. It is because of these "morons" that a true moron like you is alive and writing this stuff. As an Indian (if you are one) need to wish boys like Cadet Sriram and many others, the best of luck and a long life to serve the Motherland. You are of course free to say whatever you like about the corrupt politicians and ministers of this country.
It is excellent for Sriram to have topped the NDA exam. Whatever he intends I am not sure, but the heading of the article is not correct. An engineer can serve the nation much better than a Cadet, both in times of peace and war. As an example, an engineer can design a better bridge which serves lakhs of people and will help economy!!!

its good that the sriram has left engineering to join NDA....but i request Defence controllers to see in to the pay and perks a cadet gets as compared to an engineer working in a MNC...i think at very lower end...anyway second thing is that when this exam will have their pattern change... can i person who is intelligent but no good in english can get selected to NDA.. i think not at all....then whether it is test of language or test of english proficiency....matra bhasa ko to bhool gaye aap loog (kernel sahab)... i think they should look at rural area side where there is i hop talents available.....you people making rich who are already rich....i mean who can afford to traid their warden at good coaching institute or where there family background is englishtan...anyway my india is great...
