It is mostly a media creation. Our movies and our advertisers have shown fair skin to be a desirable objective. We see very little movies in which the heroine is dark or brown, even though, according to the script, she is an orphan growing up in a slum! The media has to be pressurised to underplay the prominence given to fair skin. But who will bell the cat?
A person's beauty comes from internally and there is no meaning for external beauty . A good looking fair person can be sometime so horrible in real life but at the same time a dark person can be sometime so lovely and charming. So look at a person's internal beauty.

1. a fair person never wants to be black 2. thin person never wants to be obese 3. person with a neat skin doesnt want to look like chimpanzee 4. neat skinned person doesnt want to have pimples 5. a fully haired person doesnt want to get bald 6. long dicked person doesnt want to have it short!!!!

Obese person will anything to the limit of stupidity to be thin 3. person with a rough skin is ready to burn their skin with chemicals to make it look clean (might not be healthy though) 4. a bald person thinks only thing worth a smart men left is "hair" 5. short dicked person feels he is fit only for celibacy!!!!
It is a fact that in India fairer skin gets better attention. Look how we treat the fair skinned foreigners. The same treatment is missing for others. The controversy in IPL-I regarding cheerleaders of African origin is another example.

That is because it is a new and less often seen color. When you see more and more of it you start getting less impressed and ultimately tired of it. Also they put on good amt of makeup to hide the negative aspects of their looks. Also the current power of the west in the world make them more confidant

Even in US or elsewhere, a 26 year old tall, slim, handsome man (white race) earning big bucks will date a tall, slim peach complexion girl surely; do you mean to say he will pick fat ugly ducklings with face full of freckles?
