The first book seemed very well to be right from your heart. We loved it, and felt as if you held our hand and took us through the character's life. It was humourous, captivating, and above all, HONEST. But, having said all this, second book onwards, it wasn't very difficult to see and feel that all you wanted was , now to cash on, on the honesty and charm of you established from your first book. As soon as you started doing that, the quality went down by knots, honesty went missing, and you lost the plot. I wish you should have had the guts to stop right after the first book. You are not an author type, so stop pretending to be like one.A Rs.95 tag will not earn you respect. The best you can do is, somehow create that same old charm, and sign off...

In India destructive criticism comes first and everything else just has to follow..disgusting isn't it....and wow...honesty!!!!
i wonder how honest you have been..working for started the day he decided to write books ...thats quite obvious..i am no die hard fan of chetan bhagat but its a matter of fact that he connects with the urban/semi-urban youth..and its a pretty good number...so quite naturally he gains

It is sad to see that we can are so easily ready to drop or jaw, drool and follow the moolah. And people like you so casually smile a wry one over words like 'Honesty'and 'Heart'. Urban youth of India is not all about this. Its time we stop glorifying the mediocre, just because there is not much competition. If you really feel that its more about money now, than heart, then at lest stop glorifying the statement. We shud be ashamed of even admitting it.
I have read the last 3 books. The first one was great but the next 2 ones slowly went on to raunchier side. Three Mistakes .... was more like soft porn. I was planning to give it as a gift to my young sister but after reading it I hid it so that no one sees it. So, cant tell what to expect this time. A classic sort of thing or some Soft pornish one from an Author who has qualities to do better.

ya...you can please go ahead and read those rondu type serious crap...the ones that win awards.
And another thing...admissions are open for junior KG. I have sent your name to all the schools.
Haven't read it yet, but it looks pretty funny from what I read here. No idea what every day life is like in India, so I can't relate in that aspect, but the book looks good nonetheless.

Very well said dear. To the point. Exact. This is what is he targetting it and because of awe of these people, he has hit it. 5 point someone was true to some extent because it has elements of real experiences behind it. Don't want to comment further. And yes, I am an IIT IIM guy too.
