A friend of mine told me his humiliating experience in the 70s in a hotel in Australia.However, my question is why are all these people going abroad to study? I can understand if they get full scholarship but these students mainly pay hefty fees from their pocket. The reason is that they hope to stay on after their studies. naturally ozs will have their share of concern that indians are stealing their job. so my suggestion is to study in India if possible and look for jobs here. If one has to go abroad, then they better be prepared to change themselves and accept their customs and culture. My own experience abrfoad is that Indians try to be more Indians while they are abroad and attract unnecessary attention to their presence. Eg.USA has many nationalities living their and they all mingle with locals and become part of that nation except Indians. So they stick out like sour thumbs. I am not blaming but suggesting that we need to change our outlook too.
Due to ugly cultural and socio-economic issues at home, 99% of Indians prefer to live in Western Nations. And this is in-spite of the discrimination they will face there.
I am very much concerned when read about the attacks on INDIAN students in AUS and the clips on TV was also a matter of concerned and our PM had shown some courage to protest about the incidence but the matter which is more to concern is when INDIAN itself get bitten by INDIAN in MAHARASTRA in organised way the same PM was helpless and still no action had taken on any of the criminal and on their NETA . Unless we have respect in our homeland no one is going to respect INDIAN , but forgetting the mistakes taken in past due to domestic political ambition INDIA must react boldly.

the way you have narrow view about INDIAN specialy BIHARI there is nothing wrong if INDIAN are bitten up , unless people like you doesn't change attitude towards ppl of any state its wastage of time to discuss such matter , please respect own ppl then only rest of world will
BEFORE GOING TO ABOVE SUBJECT, FIRST DECISION MUST BE TAKEN BY INDIAN GOVT TO SEND AN POLICE INSPECTOR/CID/FBI, WHATEVER U CALL, FOR NECESSARY INVESTIGATION AND THIS WILL MAKE AUSTRALIAN NERVOUS AND FUTURE ATTACKS WL BE MINIMIZED SNCE V STRONGLY BELIEVE TOP LEVEL GOVT SECTOR ALSO INVOLVED IN SUCH ATTACKS.
Norway and Swiss are better choice.Same time Aus companies should get out from our country.We dont want any business with that country.If it is need Indian embassy should be close in AUS also
