Rich fund temples, temples fund education
by Rashmi Rao on Mar 14, 2012 07:02 AM

Did you know that almost 60 percent of the money donated by the rich to the temples goes to house poor but bright children in the temple premises and provide them education? This I know for a fact because I have seen this in so many temples with my own eyes.

Tarun is absolutely right in many ways.....our education system is result oriented and cut throat competition rather than promote orignal thinking.....culture . moral values, ethics should be part of curriculam .....empasis should be on practical training also.....at the time of graduation student should ask to go to grass root level, villages for atleast a month to feel the pulse of the country.....No one can be a doctor without identifying the real problem......at the same time education should relate to employbility.......Right to education bill is step in the right direction....Mid day meal in school is another paragmatic approach.....but there is too much red tappism in education.......

MR Tejpal,

I was wondering..
No Tehelka in the Conress goverment??

The Tiger has started meowing...
and talking of mundane stuff like education...

We are educated enough to understand the ways of mercenary editors/journalists and there stooges...

So give all this crap to who you work for, they are in a better position to do something about this

He made lot of money doing fake video's and sensalizing issues. What did he do to upturn the education system? Why blame others? Why such a headline rediff ??

He blamed funding by rich to temples but who does not. It's not rich's job to fund for anything, its up to them. Its failure on the part of government, to be put bluntly. Afterall, so many private schools, colleges, coaching classes do good. They do not bring in people from heaven for god's sake. They are people among us. Government functioning and bureaucrats are so corrupt that nothing seems visible to them beyond their family, relative, district or state.

Beside, all the terrorists funding comes from Gulf and their aaka's around world. Government don't have any machinery to track illegal hawala's. Government pays Haj subsidies.

Why blame other's when the main goal out of political career is to make money?
