Nice Suggestion
by Praveen Goud on Dec 20, 2009 02:42 AM

Amount donated to place of worship has to be used for the upliftment of the society through investment on education, medical camps etc., instead of making the politicians , chairman , board members , endowments swallowing the amount directly or enjoying the disciples donations by pawning as happened in Tirupati for an example.

For instance, just one priest in Tirupati pawned 10 necklaces . Imagine, how much irregularities might be happening from board chairman, its board of members and endowments depatments?. To cover this, petition on behalf of people grievance has been nicely covered by another corrupted and collapsed indian judiciary by declaring the total values of tirupati ornaments as 50 or 100 crores(not sure) when average per day collection will bOe more than 50 lakhs.

I mean the excess amount after meeting the temple expenditure should be used on upliftment of society through investment on education instead of making politicians, bureaucrats, and judiciary swallowing it. Applies to all religions and all religious places of worship.

People make donations including hairs for god to make politicians, bureaucrats, temple boards and judiciary rich....

Whether the rich fund temples or shrines should not be any of his concern. It is their money! They can spend it on what they want.

Who does he think funds the mosques? India's rich muslims and the rich Saudi family.

Who funds the large Cathedrals and churches? It is the rich Christians from all the different denominations - Baptist, Mormons, Pentacostals, Seventh day adventists ...

The Government of India which should be a neutral body takes the 'tax payer' money and funds Muslim Haj pilgrimage so why should the India's rich not fund their own temples.

Anyway why is the government of India not use that money to set up good educational institutions?

Majority of American institutions are "State Universities". Even those endowed American universities take money from the US government.

Hinduism is being slowly destroyed by this weird brand of secularism in India. Indias education is ALL wrong..just showing brilliance in Mathematics is of no use if we lose our young people to a state of rootlessness. Today, thanks to Indias secularism, the Hindu identity is non existent..Indians have being idiotic liberals with an idealistic secular outlook..the result is Indians are unable to carry on Indias heritage..Temples serve as great a cause as schools..it is in temples that ALL of India come together and worship and celebrate..without temples not only Hinduism will be gone, but Indians who already a very self centred individuals will be totally without any fellow feeling..Let these stupid high sounding pseudoes not preach otherwise..

Give this lecture to the west who fund conversion in poor country and spread that if you are not ..ian then you are poor..But God judgement is very close..Education is Government responsibility whom we pay Tax to do their job good. Donating money to temple is personal matter..Temple authority with communist goverment interference are busy paying salary instead of society well being...Big chuck of temple money is looted by government appointed irreligious forces.

In many developed countries rich are the biggest donors for college funds, my college relies heavily on alumni and donors. Whereas in India, people start colleges to become rich and once they become rich they pump money into tirupathi.

Indian government want temples to be closed so that they can be gods and get funds from their master in vatican. India is using tax money to spread western ideology to India..making fun of pro-life believers

So, tirupati's role is the same as the national flag, anthem and emblem? At least allegiance to the national flag provided me an education, and a means of earning my living. What has tirupati done for the poorest of the poor who offer their hard earned money and hair in the hope that God makes their life better? If Tirupati is doing God's work, shouldn't they be helping out more than sitting on the tonnes of gold offered by the likes of Amitabh Bachchan?

Education is related Religion
by rajendra K on Dec 19, 2009 11:45 PM  | Hide replies

This guy is educated in missionary schools. In India before British temples and Math (like Shringeri Math) use to be centers education. English came and stopped funding these institutions. So research was stopped. Indian devised Calendar, Mathematics, Economy, Legal System through these institutions. Whenever kings needed new Technology (Say what kind metals to be used Swards) they will go these temples or Maths get the knowledge. Main problem with India is we de-related Education with Religion Where West kept this Relation and made sure that it will not in Fundamentalist way like happened in Middle-East

I love my motherland and have lot of respect for her traditions, culture and so on. Every society has its own problems and need to change with time. I will not agree with anyone calling India as super power or something that sort of name until our people dying with hunger, quality education and health in reach of few, and caste based reservation, corruption, population explosion and so many things are in excess. I am ready to cooperate or will like that all those who love this motherland and feel the necessity to change it come together and make some plans. We should be ready to kick these self centered politicians and bureaucrats or any sort of such characters who all have divided our society and continue for their personnel benefits. Sitting and cursing the system is not a solution. We need to change and have to change otherwise consequences will continue to worse. I will say Jai Bharat first than only will be able to say Jai Global.
