Get an exit visa to most neighboring (since travel cost is the factor)country of your present stay and re-enter with tourist visa in present .In between may follow the formula of pregnancy...or take advice of Indian Embassy.
The Only word comes to my mind is WOW. You have done Yourself, your parents, your country and your mentor proud. I am quite sure you shall go places. May students under you IIT also show some shades of your colurs too. CONGRATULATION!!!!!!
