Beyond Horizon
RE:RE:Airtel Cheats big time
by Beyond Horizon on Jun 04, 2008 06:04 PM
Airtel did the same "Caller Tune " trick with my husband too and then tried to say that we had requested them or had responded to an automated message... both of which are totally untrue. Its a shame that a big company like Airtel resorts to such unscrupulous means.

SIMILAR EXPERIENCE
by Gaurav Sharma on Jun 04, 2008 05:55 PM

In march 08 my car was hit by a bus on a delhi road by a DTC bus. I thanked god that nobody was hurt and my car is Insured. But their my dilemma started. I have got it insured from a very big company, Reliance on cash less terms. Most of the Maruti Dealers, as my car is Maruti Alto LXI, ignored to entertain as they were not attached with Reliance. After much effort we came to know about a bi dealer, DD Motors in Delhi. The survayor of company came and told me that on plastic parts and glass parts i can get fifty percent refund only. I had no choice but to agree on it. I got my car repaired and I paid Rs 2700 as cash on repairs which was fifty percent of total. I got manual receipt also. Later i got sms from Reliance that my claim has been passed of full amount Rs 5464. I was shocked. The cheque went to DD motors. I called up Reliance custmer care and they too confirmed the amount but told me it is between me and DD motors, and they dont know why they took the money from me. DD motors never replied to my calls till date. this is the way a common man is taken fro granted.

Consumer Forum
by !Maximus! on Jun 04, 2008 05:55 PM

I am BPL Bombay user since many years, initially prepaid & now post paid. Pretty happy with the service.

Looks like many here have genuine problems. In such a case it is often suggested to register a complaint with consumer forums. Does anybody know what is the process?? Is there any website of consumer forum/court?? Does anyone know addresses/contact details of their officer of different cities?? Please do list, so that everyone can get benefited.

Cheers to all

RE:Vodafone is the sleaziest

I also faced problem with vodafone last month. I have downloaded just 2 games from free site and vodafone has billed me for 6 games each costing Rs.99/- so my bill was shot up by Rs.650 - 700 including tax on dowloaded games! Upon complaining to customer care, vodafone service outlet all are just saying that carges are ok as you have requested from your mobile to download the games. I repeatedly telling them that I just have downloaded 2 games and thats too from a free site but answer is the same.

Every Operator in India knows no court judgement will come before 10 years. SO do not hesitate to cheat customers as they no nothing is going to happen against them. Its our bad luck that we earn and pay taxes for politicians who do not care for us and our country

PD
consumer forum and police station
by PD on Jun 04, 2008 05:39 PM

lodge your complaint with customer care. Take complaint number without fail. If problem is solved good.. if not, call them again and tell them that you are going to consumer forum.. even if they didnt budge then go to police station and call from there to operaters executive and tell them complaint number and history of complaint..if s/he listens good if not hand over the phone to police officer..let him/her talk to executive.. then your problem will be solved.. if not then change the operator asap.. no need to lodge formal complaint at police station just a friendly talk with policeman will do..

I too have faced the same problem
by Vinal Gandhi on Jun 04, 2008 05:29 PM  | Hide replies

I too have faced the same problem from Reliance CDMA. They had activated the caller tune service without my consent and started charging Rs.30.00 per month. What is worse is that they were renewing the service automatically. I am running from pillar to post to cancel this service but all my pleas are falling on deaf ears. Their customer care service is the worst in entire Mobile Service Providers. They are rude, they do not listen to you and everything is your fault in their lixicon! I even sent SMS to cancel this unwanted service, have made complaints to their customer care prople, to their local webworlds and also to their office in the past 4 months. Result? Nothing. I am still being charged for a service I neither wanted nor activated nor sought.
