Harrassed by Airtel for 6 months
by Good Will on Jun 04, 2008 05:16 PM  | Hide replies

I was harrased by Airtel connections for 6 months

1)Every month they used to deduct roaming charges 49 Rs/-, the reason they said it was used in roaming when I went Gujrat, As a matter of fact I never went to Gujrat Infact I never left Bombay.

For 6 months it continued the same thing. I have no idea how did it showed Gujrat on there Records when I never left Bombay.

2)One morning I got up and saw my balance -164 RS/- (a negative amount of 164). When called they said I downloaded some services. In fact my mobile was the most simplest of all phones with no downloading feature on it. I had to fight to get all money back of Rs 260/- in positive.

3)When I went to pune I could not recharge my phone through roaming. When asked they were helpess they could get my phone started.

I faced innumerous problem with Airtel... It was like a never ending story of torture for me.

No, I never went beyond Andheri, most of the time I used to spend in Andheri. On central as far as I went to Kalyan, both regions does not come under roaming zones

4)Airtel used to activate the caller tunes without asking and I had to fight to deactiviate every time they started without even asking. And it takes days and days and even months reminder to take it off.

5)Sometimes the plan used to change automatically without being informed. they were no choice given which plans to take.

I wish I could change the number but it has gone to so many ppl that it becomes impossible to change even if you wish to change the service.

I think TRAI should provide a universal number across all the Service Companies if they really wish that customers get the better service. Otherwise the Mobile Service will continue to harass common people all the time

Hi Pradeep,

I did nothing special apart from caling them everyday regularly and talking to them for half an hour, untill they paid all my money back. BUt not all the time sometimes. On an average I got paid 7 out of 10 times, that because I continued to fight nonstop, otherwise they would,nt even have cared.

I am facing the problem with Airtel, my number is registered in Do not Disturb, then also I got promotional call from Airtel, that too while I was in roaming. Can we go to consumer forum or should we lodge FIR.

I have been cheated by Vodafone
by Sunil Patil on Jun 04, 2008 05:09 PM  | Hide replies

I have requested them to deactivate my caller tune on 18 Jan 08, and then they sent me message that your caller tune has been deactivated, but till today they have not deactivated it and charging me Rs 3o per month.
So i called the customer care and told this fact and also i told him that i am still having your deactivation message with me. After listning this also they have not deactvitated my caller tune and charging continuously and told me to visit their vodafone customer care center. This is tooooooo bad.

RE:Vodafone - Biggest Fraud Telecom Operator
by abhijit mukherjee on Jun 04, 2008 06:03 PM
Vodafone is trying to capitalise on the "Orange" brand equity... Which is the reason why, they can still afford to have Mumbai and Rest of Maharashtra with different TARIFF policies... All other Operators who tried practising this were given back customer dissent in gallones and tonnes... Wonder what stops vodafone customers from breaking the vodafone shoppe... as they had done to reliance, quite a few years back...
