Whatever you call Lalu, he achieved a remarkable urnaound in railways. But Mamata may spoil it, because i guess he will be more focused on WB than in railways.

Too many cooks spoil the broth
by Dr.Gopala Govinda Rajan on May 29, 2009 07:01 AM  | Hide replies

These berths have been allotted to appease the partners and keep them in humour and allowing them to loot the country in a ministerial way. A look at the flock of ministers will reveal, at least 30 to 40% of them have criminal records. Now it has been well established, the best hiding place for the criminals is a berth in Lok Sabha. PM cannot exercise his option to allocate the right man for the right job. Rather, he has been coerced. The magic word from Sonia ' Perform or Perish' is nothing but a cheap show with all hi-fi terms, prepared by her assistants.

Yes, Dr.Rajan, thaqt is absolutely true. Sonia has swallowed her insult and pain when Karunanidhi sand his own poem written in praise of LTTE, who killed her husand and our dear PM Rajiv Gandhi. Manmohan had to give in to Raja, a person widely labelled as corrupt. Is this not an insult to us who voted for Congress?

Once the coalition partners are addicted, they can be whipped
by D S on May 29, 2009 06:15 AM  | Hide replies

Once the coalition partners and Congressi are addicted, they can be tamed and whipped and FLOGGED!!!

Everyone knows, the ministry is not given to them for SAINTLY purpose,
None of the minister have PHD in ministry they are assigned.
Anthony says all the corruption will have to go through his middle person (someone as good a quatarocci) otherwise that contract will be cancelled or considered NULL and void.

These coalition ministers once deep in deals will be SERVILE and dependent to sonia and the gypsy clan. They can be whipped and controlled.

Then these gypsies can manipulate them as they did to the leftist, SP, etc.

GREAT THINGS AWAIT India, Sonia is already showing the carrot and waving the WHIP so all dogs fall in line to the Gypsy camp and her dynasty.

NONE OF THESE SMALL PARTIES HAVE GUTS TO show defiance and start building coalition of small parties i.e cooperative nationalism against BJP and Congress nexus.

With BJP and COngress nexus in place and leftist wings clipped.
The coalition partner will be given carrot due to their greed and eventually be whipped and FLOGGED and exposed if they don't behave.
Some will become weak and fall sooner!!!
Did the Moghuls and British not do the same to the split majority whom those handful converted AND eventually carved a Pakistan and Afganistan out of Indians.

This is why Afgans and Pakis are so mentally disturbed, the religion they were converted to does not suit their genes and system.

This is worthwhile position?
by BR on May 29, 2009 05:59 AM

Selja Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation and Minister of Tourism

What is this? So many things given to Selja?
All three are different fields. Or in India, housing related to urban poverty alleviation? And in turn related to tourism? Which means, remove slums from 2 places using this position in 5 years - Delhi, Mumbai, ( nothing can be done in Kolkata), and help tourism.

This is the most useless position. Why cannot it instead be of urban development and urban rehabilitation, which should go hand in hand with rural development portfolios

He has been given youth and sports. I think he should have had a place in national security.

Who else handle the Home Affairs under Chidambaram?

MS Gill should have been given the portfolio for fraud and immoral traffic. The shameless rascal joined a political party after being election commissioner. He has the cheek to preach ethics and national pride now. If you give him this portfolio, he will start human trafficing the day he is let go.

Some are not good
by BR on May 29, 2009 05:32 AM  | Hide replies

Kamal Nath - Transport and Farooq Abdullah - Renewable Energy shoul not have got portfolios. I wonder what Farooq Abdullah will do. Perhaps he can set up windmills in his state hills.

Farooq shoul take on challenge to paint some Chennai, Delhi and Bombay roofs in white to get rid of UV , and greenhouse effects.

But KamalNath, wonder what he can do, with desisal and petroil strikes, nothing for him actually to do as these are automatically take care of bribes from super-corporates.

efficient Surface transport is the major pre-requisite for industrial growth. The growth of villages in Haryana, Punjab and Kerala is due to the Road net working among villages and cities. Being a commercial expert, Kamalnath can improve indian road connectivity status.

nothing spl for AP
by kapil on May 29, 2009 05:27 AM  | Hide replies

Other states are enjoying more cabinet berths at the cost of AP. Otherwise how can you explain that a state which gave 33 MP for Congress is gross under represented in the cabinet with only one birth. It is surly a step motherly treatment to the state. People of AP are not amused.
