Dear Ms., Mamata, please do not go Laloo way. Agreed that railways cater to almost all strata of society. But even after all these decades, we have the most frightening railway belt in Bihar and UP, where dacoities and theivery are common.
Some of the worst railways are the Guwahati Express and the Allahahad/Gorakhpur expresses. While Gorakhpur stinks. Guwahati always has anti-nationals in them.
And the Nashik-Bombay must have increased service, it was suffocating to get into one of them .

Turning railways in to profit by Lallu is like Raju turning Satyam in to a big corporation.He fudged the books and the babus in the Railway Ministry had golden opportunity to fool Lallu.He also boosted corruption at high levels.I wish some opposition MP ask a question as to how many freight trains carrying steel,coal,food stocks disappeared during his time.How much one has to pay per wagon to carry iron ore in Hospet -Bellary, Karnataka to Goa, and in Orissa. Now Mamta will be in Kolkata fighting the left, the ministry baboos have a free turf to play. Mr.E.Ahmed will be looking for a train that can carry maximum Haj pilgrims to Mecca (He beleives in God and it may be possible), and his first official order will be all trains entering Kerala must stop at all stations and mosques/madrasas irrespective if they come Guwahati, Jammu, or Delhi. Just watch.

Thank you for this reply. Did not want to spend time rebutting Mr. Loan Shark. Loan Shark never travelled the length and breadth of the country, must have grdaueted from bicycles to AC Bus directly. I travelled in trains, and hence know what happened/happens where and how.

Are you really sure, at MoS level, we have two Ministers of State in Railways, viz. E. Ahamed & Muniyappa ? Or is it some typo error ? I doubt if the workload is that heavy in Railways to have 2 Mos.

It is happy tiding that Mr. Veerappa Moily, who has composed an epic poem on Rama Sri Ramayanana Mahanveshanam, has been given Law and Justice Ministry.
His vast political experience, his insights of the epic poem, his legal expertise and empathic understanding of all sides of this profound issue with history going back to many centuries could bring the matter to a just resolution and enable construction of a Rama temple at Ayodhya.

i will be happy if he introduce a law which refrain corruption and criminal away from politics. that will be great achievement.
