Abedan korchchi , improve the stature of the trains please. We are humans and not cattle,m to be herded in hundreds in a few coaches. There used to be a time hardly a decade ago, when I came across british tourists who rode the trains always. some of my happiest memories are criss-crossing the country from west to east and back every year, watching the winderful landscapes that only a train ride can provide. I don;t want to travel in a closed AC coach with stuffy air and where windows are hazy. Wtaching the tribal MP belt go by, with red soil, the black soil of maharashtra, and the lush greenery of eastern india with their ponds. It was a marvellous journey. These days to think of taking a train gives me shivers, wondering about the horrendous toilets, the overcrowding, the terrible smell, and the constant fear of dacoits in the bihar/up belt; heck even my father in his 50s once ran out all by himself with the police watchign to catch hold of a thief who was running their hands across the women's necks looking for jewellery.
trains brought back to some good shape, no matter the price, India can take pride again in trhe largest and most effieicnt and best network of the world. This is a public sector, don;t look for profit. The profit only goes into someone else's pocket.
And stop all that nonsense about Rs. 20 ticket. India is not Kolkata, where even 3 paise used to be currency a only decade ago when rest of india had abandoned 25 ps.
Six Congress MPs got elected from Orissa. Two of them were deservecd to get Cabinet berth. But to surprise, one MP gets Ministry of State post which is purely injustice.
While UPA is concerned about appeasing DMK by including new comer son as Cabinet Minister, it has also neglected this time to induct higly distinguished MPs from Orissa.
Congress has chosen unqualified corrupt MPs only for its survival, but created more anguish among Orisaa people. It will reflect in the forthcoming elections, undoubtedly.
Re: Congress has been neglecting Orissa. Why????

Orissa is highly corrupt state. Orissa is rich in minerals, in soil, in art and culture, but look at its condition. All due to some of the corrupt people in the country are in this state.
Removing Kamal Nath from his previous post makes my fears come true that we indeed are bending down to American wishes! Of all UPA guys, I have a great respect for Kamal NAth for standing upto USA at WTO meetings and not ceding Indian interests. Now Anand Sharma may not continue Kamal Nath's acts. Did USA finally got their way in getting their govt in India? Time alone will tell the truth. Hope our agricultural sector and hence our farmers will not be at the receiving end of it. USA wants to kill our agricultural sector. If that happens, we will be in for a huge trouble! I hope BJP guys will be ever vigilent over this......
Congress party will be wiped out from orissa in the next election. Its a shame that successive congress led government at the center have ignored orissa. Orissa government should block the revenues that the center gets from mining exports. Its ridiculous that the ecentral govt receives revenuse in thousands of crores using the resources of orissa, and yet no development work is done by them. People of orissa will teach congress a lesson in the next election. In the meantime, we should stop the center from exploiting our state resources.

A doctor's son/daughter likely to be a doctor, A Lawyer's son/daughter likely to be a lawyer, A engineer's son/daughter likely to be a engineer. why because parents are the prominant role model for the kids, if the kids thinks parents are leading the life without any hurdles they automically like to become their profesions. so its natural A politican's son/daughter likely to be a politician. it happens yaar. Unavoidable, there is nothing wrong in that. Dont think ur kid dont know anything because u dont know the things. U cant under estimate a guy or a gal because he/she is too young. everybody has their potential.

Dear Mr. Chandra Sekaran,
U seem to be from Tamil Nadu, you better understand what I mean, your version is 100% right, then why DMK was strongly opposed Mr. Rajaji's (KULAKKALVI THITTAM), what DMK earlier said was "Scavenger son will be scavanger, driver son will be driver, etc. and DMK were spitting venon on Rajaji during early 50s
The following are not reqd. 1.azhagiri(uneducated fellow) 2.shashi tharoor(double speak on war related isuues) 3.S.M.Krishna(disinterested and duplicitous on terror related issues)

if an uneducated fellow have a facility to vote, whynot an uneducated fellow in the ministry... btw, indian education is merely useful for clerical jobs, creative ideas not to be the part of education in INDIA. One more thing the literacy level is nothing but just reading and writing a mother language its not indicating any particular degree, if yes, india is illitrate country. I bet u around 5 to 10 percentage of peoples only have college degree in INDIA. we indians always care minorities so dontworry we wont let u people down.

What about the rest of India? Why everybody thinks about his own area? There are so many areas where there is no existence of Railways and other areas are having "n" no. of trains. When the Regional Balance will happen?

For what? Either to supply coconut oil to the rest of the country or to supply nurses and plumbers to dubai. Or to supply islamic terrorists for training to Pak. Instead of that, why cant yall quell the prevalent strikes, pull down communism and encourage entreprenuership. The state earns revenue nowadays only from the money orders that Asin and Dhanraj Pillai send back home!
