by abi jack on May 22, 2009 06:50 PM  | Hide replies

Sir as congress know MR.Mk.Azhagiri is a part of UPA and the candiate of Madurai. Its really unfair and unforunate to comment on his capablity of achive. The congress in other hand has cheated DMK. Dmk must teach them strong lesson. Rembember congress did very badly in this elections in tamil nadu.
DMK will SHINE Tamil Nadu grow.We have seen, witnessed more than this.No one can stop DMK & Tamil Nadu shining. Congress cheaters.

DMK is also going on congress line of dynasty politcs. There are many other repsctful leader in DMK then why azhagiri and Kanimozhi. Just bcoz they are blood realted to DMK supremo. This is not fair. This is cheap politcs. Think about country , DMK is only think about his son and daughter

Family in Politics is not privy to DMK alone. All Leaders are grooming their blood relatives. Why target DMK alone?

I think you are too aggressive and optimistic about DMK and Tamilnadu. A mean politician's ( with money and muscle power )rule cannot last long and people would have started knowing the true colour of DMK now

short cuts for becoming ministers!!!
by syed thameesudeen on May 22, 2009 06:44 PM

it's becoming a new trent to hold a portfolio of your dream by bargaining and threatening.MK asking for cabinet portfolio's for his family members.Last election is 2004,one person staright from Tindivanam in TN took his son to Delhi who does not know ABCD of politics and made as Health Minister.this time no sound from that side.health minsiter, his father and their PMK are unhealth-affected by swine flu.A seasoned DADA,a daughter of MK,all his family and all known for swallowing the funds and siphoning it to their swiss accounts wants to be ministers and educated, qualified politicians should sit forever as MPs or MOS.Poor destiny of this great nation.Let the PM not yield to such demands.

Monarchy in Different Form
by sivaraja kaduva on May 22, 2009 06:44 PM  | Hide replies

In India political parties have become personal properties of the leaders. DMK was found by Mr.C.N.Annadurai.
After his passing away Mr.Karunanithi managed to become the leader of the party.(Of course under him the
party has developed. As a ruling C.M. he has many time proved hiself as able administratior. But the main woe
is he has become the mother of all corruption. It was followed suit by ADMK; again this party was also hijacked
by Jayalalitha after the death of the founder M.G.R. Now shamelessly and openly Karunanith is trying to get
minister berth for all his family members. In all parties the rank and file of the party men are remaining as
mute spectators. In democracy we have replaced monarchy with people ruling. Now in India it has become
as a family ruling. So the whole purpose of the democracy is defeated. Congress has become the property of
Gandhi family. The people questioned about it was uncermoniously sent out. Even some people disappered from
the earth also. Now the whole India is gradually coming under dynastic rule including the regional parties also.
Number of examples: DMK, TDP, SHIV SENA.,SAD etc., To happen in near future BJD. One person show and arrogancy :
Raj Thakaray party and ADMK.

Until and unless the common party functionieries will wake up and boldly question their leaders on issue based polcies
and functioning the monarchy will return in different form into this country.

DMK in the Union cabinet
by Manickavasagam Venkatachalam on May 22, 2009 06:40 PM  | Hide replies

Congress had pre-poll alliance with DMK and the DMK has stood by them even though the Tamils all over the world assumed that Ezham issues will overwhelm the Cong-DMK alliance in TN. But in the final result, DMK had helped Congress to win 9 seats out of the contested 16 seats and together they hold 28 seats from TN.
Let me tell u guys, if DMK had not stood by them, Congress would only have got zero. Sonia knows it in her heart even if other Congress leaders may not realise this.

Then why do u think Ghulam Nabi Azad is coming to Chennai tomorrow ?

i dont think i can agree on ur statement
It was always a gud chance for ADMK and infact a few months back , some Congress guyz indicated to have an alliance with them

But DMK was insistant in the alliance because this will help them for the state elections in 2011. and it is very clear that the leaders who have been put forth the minitry donot have the class . This time congress has the upper hand so i thnk they have every right to call the shots

Dr Manmohan singh is really is an honorable man and i am sure that he will not allow parties to black mail him. with the sort of mandate that he got, he can afford to say a BIG NO to the black mailers and the corrupt politicians. Keep up the promise of clean administration, the nation needs it.

Why Hindi?
by Malu Boi on May 22, 2009 06:38 PM  | Hide replies

As a Malu, I am glad that the article insists that we should know Hindi to be a minister. Hindi speaking population are the real Indians. The rest of us are lucky to be called Indians and we should be glad that they allowed to join the India union. How can these people be so ungrateful and not learn Hindi. As a Malu, I can assure you that learning Malayalam has no use for any of us. Does it have any economic use? NO. Does it have any social use? NO. The only thing learning Malayalam does is to take away time from learning Hindi, our national and official language.

Its pretty clear you are not a malayali. We dont call ourselves mallu's. Secondly, we are educated unlike u illiterate tamils. We know the spelling for BOY. Again we will never defend your corrupt leaders. We have suffered for many years due to nepotism and corruption of crooked tamil politicians. We keralites are the happiest lot that DMK is not part of this govt.

The article says Hindi or English. Its not the language alone. Its the culture and attittude and credentials of a man who insists on becoming a cabinet minister. Everyone knows what the intenstions of karuna family. They simply do not deserve to hold any responsible job.

you did you see only Hindi word there. dont have that mentality. That person is lacking other abilities like education and having creaminal background. At least he should able to talk in English if he want to hold such high minitries. Is is going to talk in Tamil with foreing investor. Last time Dayanidhi maran was IT minister. and he was perfectly suited to that role.

Dear Malu Boi,
I am sure you were neither born nor brought in Kerala. Perhaps, that is why you have such scorn for one of the most beautiful languages of India. It is not essential and simply racist to assume that one can't be a minister if one doesn't know either Hindi which is mainly spoken in the northern states or English, which is a FOREIGN languages imposed on us by the colonists.
Shame on us people if we have to know a foreign language and forget one's own language to become a Minister in the government.
Perhaps, you might tell us to bleach our skins white or black and change our genes to attain high positions in our very own country.
How racist!! No wonder the British ruled us for more than 100 years....and no wonder why Malus go to the gulf to join the Sheikh's.......
MM
