India is DEMOCRACY. India is not MERITOCRACY like Taiwan or SHARIA like Saudi Arabia. If merit is the criteria, India should NOT get Independence from British.
Since Hinduism is a covert mask for Casteism, Indian Parliament must amend constitution to promote cultural and socio-economic DIVERSITY in Private Institutions,Temples,Judiciary and in Defense Services.
* 50% of Priests,Supreme Court Judges,Defense Staff must be from OBC communities. * 35% Priests,Supreme Court Judges,Defense Staff must be from Dalits and Tribals. * 15% of Priests,Supreme Court Judges,Defense Staff must be from OTHER Castes.
India must have reservations **till** 85% of all registered marriages in India are inter-caste. This is the only way to STOP dis-integration of India.

I am a brahmin and even I cannot become a priest if I want to, a priest is not a business, it requires qualifications, knowledge and some discipline in lifestyle that most of us do not have. There are temples everywhere where priests are not from backward castes, but they are doing it as a business,not as aservice for God. Those are priests have been in that field for thousands of years, they are the poorest of people..yet the last thing they seek is money and do it for service of God, now everyone wants money, becoming priests has become a business.

My dear brahmin messenger, i do agree that not all brahmins r priest but my question is that y dont u admit so called shudras to kashividyapeeth so that they can become dwivedi,trivedi or chaturvedi.Give atleast 20% reservation to socalled shudras in these religious institutions which r strictly for brahmins only.
Hinduism is a covert mask for Casteism which intrinsically seeds HATRED in your Children (e.g.Varun Gandhi). Hinduism is a hierarchical (and not groups) based irrational system of keeping one CASTE (Brahmins?) over everyone else.
In America there is no system in place today that forces people to remain separate or keeps one class subservient to another. If you were born the son of a street sweeper, but excelled, you could become a doctor or lawyer or some celebrity or entrepreneur - and at the same time you would be fully accepted by your peers.
Not so in India. The caste system freezes everyone in place. It is extremely difficult - almost impossible - for someone from the lowest caste to rise in education and social status.
A Dalit would never be allowed to marry into one of the higher castes and would never be accepted as an equal. And for a Dalit to make it into MEDICAL school or opening a RESTAURANT or become a PRIEST in a temple or become a member of high SOCIETY in India is very rare indeed. Only by escaping from the grasp of Hinduism do they have much of a chance.
And India is the nation of around 5000 such castes aka hierarchical communities where 99.99% marriages are still held within caste. Hence Casteism and Reservations will prevail in India **till** 85% of all registered marriages are inter-caste.

Stupid guy, we hindus do not fight with each other for castes...It is like an engineer fighting with a doctor saying his profession is better....our castes gives us an identity about our ancestory and the proffesion we were in....it is the west which has given a bad name to the system that was followed world wide...it is a form of governance, an order in society which prevailed for thousands of years.....if there were caste wars India would never have existed for thousands of years.

Every Hindu is also proud of his caste, a caste tells him his ancestory, he is proud of his ancesstory just like non-hindus are. You cannot separate a caste from Hindu...a Hindu from Hindustan. They all make us who we are, Hindustanis and give us our identity.

We need 2 or 3 more elections like the recent one. o reason to blame politicians alone. They still think that people are devided on caste lines and they field candidates accordingly. Once they see that people are smart and the representatives are not selected based on caste line, indian polity will change. Hope for the best

AS long there are caste divisions, politicians will take advantage and divide people. The best way is to encourage inter-caste and inter-lingual marriages whether it is arranged or love marriages. Children born out of cross cultural parents will be more intelligent and healthy as well. In ancient India caste was made based on profession. People who wanted to study vedas called brahmins, take part in war called Kshaktriya, Farmers & business men called vyasa, and animal care shudras. Later it became by birth, a brahmin's son became a brahmin and so forth. No community is inferior or superior to anyone. Let there be reservation for the economically backward. Castism is a curse for India and so is linguistic chauvinism. I will encourage my kids to marry in different caste or language. I am a Human being first then an Indian.

A hairless Idiot said in NDTV that BJP lost bcoz Advani taken personel attack on MMS.If not Advani done so then the minorities could have voted in favor of Advani?...That is not the case!. The minorities are always very clear in voting against BJP rathar than supportig Congress.The Idiots from English media telling that they are correct in predictions and they are telling that whatever they said is the correct reason for BJPs loss.
