Cabinet Berth
by Gokul Sharma on May 19, 2009 09:52 AM

I wish, this time that All the MP's, who have crossed 60 years and are not active physically and have bad name in polity, do not get any Ministrerial Berth in the New Cabinet. This will enhance the credibility of Indian Parliament.

cabinet for Arjun Singh
by suryanarayanan ramesh on May 19, 2009 08:52 AM

It's wise decision for Congress 2 keeep Arjun Singh aloof & alienate him from Cabinet Berth.

Arjun is a power monger like Lallu/Mulayam/Deva Gowda/Kumarsamy/Ramadoss/Sibu Soren/Bangarappa & others etc.,

Kick Arjun who is like a chameleon & often cricises his own leaders & party.

PATRIOTIC CITIZEN

Rahul Singh
Arjun must retire gracefully
by Rahul Singh on May 19, 2009 08:38 AM

Arjun Singh is one of the old stalwarts of old congress regime and is redundant in the present context. As HRD Minister at center he was an utter failure and a non-entity. It is high time he thinks of retiring gracefully before he is shown the door.

Arjun Singh !!!! No way please !
by Rajnish Sharma on May 19, 2009 07:04 AM  | Hide replies

I am not a very frequent writer on these message boxes. But, after reading this article, I could not stop myself in expressing my opinion.
Indian public has essentially accorded its mandate for Youth Brigade. Arjun Singh's contribution has been more into the negative side rather than doing anything at all positive. He has maligned the image of premier educational institutes of the country. He can not even walk properly. It is better to handover HR ministry to some young and intelligent brain, who has really himself got an exposure to world class education. Let us take more lessons from premier Indian institutes like BITS, Pilani to implement their academic systems. CHITKARA and Thapar are doing excellent job in Northern part of the country.
Education is the backbone for development of any country and please please ----, let us not make any compromises there. Rather, I guess, Rahul Gandhi himself may be a perfect choice for HR minister.

We definitely need a person with vision, above the petty vote bank politics and a personal experience of education system. These illiterate oldies have no knowledge of what education is and keep tinkering with it to suit their whims and fancies..

why not make Shashi Tharoor as HRD Minister. He dont need any further introduction depending upon his education qualification. I feel he is the right person

Spot on. I was thinking the same. Dump Arjun singh and bring Rahul into the cabinet. He could definitely be a HR minister.

Why not Arjun? He has been champion of dalits. All manuvadis hate Arjun singh, but we love him. I am sure manuvadis will keep him out to bring in Rahul.

Good politics
by Bharat Soni on May 19, 2009 04:47 AM  | Hide replies

India as a country need good politicians and good politics. I was not fully willing to vote for Congress but did not have any other choice. And probably that was the sentiment across Madhyapradesh if not all over India. The current government is a let down, all it does is to take part in the celebration of festivals and inaugrations. Today the people of our country needs more job and better future, we do not care which individual is ruling us. It does not matter if Sonia Gandhi is born in Italy or if Advaniji was born in Pakistan. The leaders should be an Indian from heart and should be ready to work for the progress of our country. Our political parties have to be more transparent and honest. I hope that by the next loksabha electon, the congress would get rid of appeasement and reservation politics, though i agree that certain section of the people do need reservation but that should not be based on religion but on their financial status. I hope that BJP would be more matured and get rid of their communal divisive politics. I hope that communist parties mend their ideologies a bit to understand that the country needs development and not strikes. I really support their voice for reducing the gap between rich and poor but u cannot help poor by stamping on rich. If these happens, India would be the most vibrant democracy in the world.

Dear Bharat,
Very balanced assessment by you for the aspirations of a commmon indian. This is a good sign for the country.

And the good news is this that internet will keep on getting strength in the coming years , at that time these ideas of yours will spread like wild fire, by next general election internet will be the most strong media of communication. Which simply means that the ill intentioned politician stands no chance in next elections, though it is somewhat evident in the recently held elections.

I know some politicians will also want to manipulate the internet but let them understand that this is a difficult task, MORE DIFFICULT THAN DOING GENUINE POSITIVE WORK FOR INDIA.

You took the words out of my mouth. BJP needs to mature and can not get hung on Afzal GUru and Ram Mandir. In a way I am glad congress won with a big majority so they dont need garbage criminal parties like SP and RJD and commies that call themselves secular.Maya got a real boot.

Dear all,
You seem to be v.happy that UPA has won and India hopefully will get Young blood in the cabinet. That is a good thought though. There is also another dark side of UPA 1) Security from terrorists 2) Compromising of Govt institutions like CBI, giving clean cheat to Quatrochi 3) Supreme Court - Delay in hanging Afzal Guru even after Supereme courts decesion using legal loop holes 4) Giving clean chit to Cangressi individuals involved in Sikh riots.
These are v.serious issues which cannot be overlooked.
But then you cannot expect anything from Cangress Sycophants.
