by poovannan ganapathy on May 17, 2009 11:42 PM  | Hide replies

hindutva is alien to india inspite of the uppercaste dominated judgement in favour of it.majority of indians r pseudosecular(when they dont get offended on hinduism being denigrated justifably for its perversions while other religious perversions r treated with kid gloves)pro reservation, pro sedhu project(demolition of ramsetu),prolife(will not mind whether afzal is hanged or not)pro stars(azhar has won from a constituency in which congress was losing its deposits and jayapradha wins consecutively in rampur having the largest percentage of muslims in the country.

Sukumar Mehta
Swiss Bank Money.
by Sukumar Mehta on May 17, 2009 11:39 PM

Whether Mr Advani stays leader of opposition or not, whether he remains in active politics or not, I wish to see that he continues his "struggle" to bring back Indian money in Swiss Bank, till he lives, so that the country is convinced that it was not his election time stunt to reach the PM's chair. Having raised this issue of Swiss Bank money, Mr Advani owes it to the country to continue to pursue this objective, selflessly ( selflessly means, even with his dream of PM-ship unfulfilled).

EVM Blues
by Skunk Werkz on May 17, 2009 11:30 PM  | Hide replies

I cannot say whether Congress rigged the EVM or not, but an EVM can be easily rigged by people in the know. Its child's play!.

How do I know? My company was involved in the initial concept design and bidding process for the design of the EVM's. Needless to say that we didn't win the bid because my company don't have processes to support the under-the-table cash demands.

Before anyone jumps all over me: I don't speak for/believe in ANY political party of India. Heck... I didn't even vote.

You Skunk, when you don't vote , you keep shut. Secondly, you work for a company that could build only EVM machines that could be rigged. Probably thats why you did not get the contract.

by Lenin Sahoo on May 17, 2009 11:28 PM  | Hide replies

People of this country showed proper maturity and the right sense by rejecting a communal party like BJP, thereby showing the right path of this country & society for progress & prosperity. Please note this.... This is the beginning of the END of all communal & divisive forces in India.

Let us take india to super-power league by working as one INDIAN...

Jai Hind...

Regards,
lenin

Sifting out these gems!
by Devadatta Bhaumik on May 17, 2009 10:38 PM  | Hide replies

With due respect to Mr. Raman, he must have scrounged and scoured to produce these gems from the Hindutva websites. Normally these sites are full of crude material denouncing: Hindus who do not agree with their sectarian outlook, Christians, Muslims, Westerners, and anyone arguing for religious harmony. They are full of crudely written chauvinist comments which in civilized societies would be classified as hate speech bordering on ra8cist/ extr8emist ideas. These websites advocate religious fundamentalism, hatred, violence. They are utterly humorless, full of a sneering attitude, inferiority complex, and are characterized by violence of language and advocacy of cruelty against dissenters. It is frightening to read the stuff written in these sites and these sites represent the terrible dumping down of human intellect. It is estimated there are about 600 of these poison-spreaders on the net, there are even some specializing in vilifying a particular religion. culture, class of people. It is a hate-hell out there.

It must have taken Mr. Raman a huge effort to sift those sensible remarks from the mount of filth available..

Hatred cannot win LOVE!!
by Noor Ahmed on May 17, 2009 10:34 PM  | Hide replies

I think the results we see today reflect the hearts and minds of the citizens of India.

That is "Hatred cannot prevail for long!"

Negative & ill campaigning has cost victory to the BJP & its allies.

I personally feel that BJP has educated, qualified and energitic condidates as compared to their counter parts.

But, the reason for their self-destruction is, their dependency on too much of a hatred spreading negative, divide & rule approach, which unfortunately does not appeal and convince the masses.

The simple reason being, for any country to succeed & prosper, the key element is the harmony in the society.

When the society as a whole is in the harmony, the plans of the development of the nation can find success.

Harmony = Peace = Stability = Development = Succcess

Any human ultimately wants peace within the society irrespective the religions / languages.

But, BJP wants to win, with a hate spreading campaign, creating communal disharmony and dividing the hearts of the people. It can never win with this kinda approach.

Instead of emphasising on what plans they have to contribute to the advancement of India, they adopted cheap, immoral and baseless means of creating communal divides, spreading hatred, making ill, personal and negative remarks on the leaders of the opponents, only pointing out the weakness of the others, instead of self-analysis.

BJP should understand that today's India is different & dynamic.

NAFRAT SE DIL NAHI JEETE JAATE!

Never...

even they have to be won by love and diplomacy...

10 years of Soviet Unions military action could not defeat Afghans...but inturn led to the raise of Taalibans..

US allies have mass murdered millions in Afghanistand and Iraq in last 8 years....can it make the people there happy??

Will it not give birth to many more Taalibans??

My point is hatred agenda can never succeed...anywhere...

Spread true LOVE...& you can win ever!!

L.K.Advani has behaved most irresponsibly; he can't go about shouting bohemian rhaposdies against an incumbent Prime Minister. Did Advani target rising prices, job lay offs, lack of infrastructure(NHAI programmes). All this man of 81 was interested was on 10,janpath and its relation with 7,Race Course Road; however the majority in a country of a billion voters did not seem to have any problems with it, and the verdict is clear.
