Hatred cannot win LOVE!!
by Noor Ahmed on May 18, 2009 01:13 AM  | Hide replies

I think the results we see today reflect the hearts and minds of the citizens of India.

That is "Hatred cannot prevail for long!"

Negative & ill campaigning has cost victory to the BJP & its allies.

I personally feel that BJP has educated, qualified and energitic condidates as compared to their counter parts.

But, the reason for their self-destruction is, their dependency on too much of a hatred spreading negative, divide & rule approach, which unfortunately does not appeal and convince the masses.

The simple reason being, for any country to succeed & prosper, the key element is the harmony in the society.

When the society as a whole is in the harmony, the plans of the development of the nation can find success.

Harmony = Peace = Stability = Development = Succcess

Any human ultimately wants peace within the society irrespective the religions / languages.

But, BJP wants to win, with a hate spreading campaign, creating communal disharmony and dividing the hearts of the people. It can never win with this kinda approach.

Instead of emphasising on what plans they have to contribute to the advancement of India, they adopted cheap, immoral and baseless means of creating communal divides, spreading hatred, making ill, personal and negative remarks on the leaders of the opponents, only pointing out the weakness of the others, instead of self-analysis.

BJP should understand that today's India is different & dynamic.

NAFRAT SE DIL NAHI JEETE JAATE!

UPA gained mainly from Left, 3rd-4th front. NDA remains a force.
by kumar on May 18, 2009 01:01 AM

Let us not get carried away by the 2009 election results and read too much in it. This simply was a vote against the obstacles of progress (namely, the Left and similar regional parties), with the Congress turning out to be the bigger beneficiary as the BJP hardly has a strong presence in many of the states that were earlier dominated by the commies or other regionals.

Next time if a number of people die in terrorist incidents, I will have no sympathy for them because they will only get what they deserve.

You have made a sad, but perhaps logical point my friend. Indeed, the people of this country deserve what they suffer - disease, no civic amenities, threat of terror, etc.

Congress ruled 90% of the time, so desrves 90% of the blame at least for the state of the nation. And yet, our bozos voted it back!

BJP has lost the election; So please be honest now;
by subramanyasastry hoskote on May 18, 2009 12:37 AM  | Hide replies

Musli ms are poor because they are bree ding more children without adequate finances;
Musli ms are backward because many of them cannot afford good education;
Musli ms get easily provoked because they have stopped thinking with their own intellect;
It is a scare to go thru a musli m dominated area even if you are a police officer on duty;
Most of you believe that your Q book asks you to kill non-musli ms and to ignore the birth place;
CONPARTY LED BY THE ITALIA N is the most communal party because of:
a) It allows - overtly or covertly - illegal immigrants from the neighboring countries;
b) It always looks at muslims as a votebank; after 60 years of independence - mostly ruled by CONPARTY - muslims are now being recognised as backward and deserving reservations.
c) Haj subsidy; Certainly State intrusion in religious affairs;
d) Reversal of Shah Bano judgment;
e) The brazen declaration by the PM - obviously at the direction of his foreign born boss - that muslims have the first right. PLEASE NOTE THAT IT IS DIFFERENT FROM EQUAL RIGHTS;
f) The PM's admission that he lost sleep even when a genuinely secular Australian Govt. arrested a musli m on suspected charges of terror;
f) Keep watching tamasha when musli ms in Srinagar have ethnically cleansed that area;
g) Amarnath yatra pilgrim facilities denial;
and endless other things.

I want someone here to contest my assertion that the CONPARTY is more communal than BJP. Rather BJP is not communal at all;

Subramanyasastry hoskote, you have correctly hit the nail on it's head. The CONPARTY is certainly more communal. India is more like Pakistan now except that the MAJORITY IS TREATED LIKE A MINORITY. Its time Hindus wake up and get real. The English TV media are all in the pockets of the CONPARTY. It is a dangerous trend. The Election Commission should bar and censure offending media in geting involved in the campaigning and support of any party just like candidates are censured when making inaapropriate remarks or speeches.

Sifting out the sensible..
by Devadatta Bhaumik on May 18, 2009 12:02 AM  | Hide replies

With due respect to Mr. Raman, he must have scrounged and scoured to produce these gems from the Hindutva websites. Normally these sites are full of crude material denouncing: Hindus who do not agree with their sectarian outlook, Christians, Muslims, Westerners, and anyone arguing for religious harmony. They are full of crudely written chauvinist comments which in civilized societies would be classified as hate speech bordering on ra8cist/ extr8emist ideas. These websites advocate religious fundamentalism, hatred, violence. They are utterly humorless, full of a sneering attitude, inferiority complex, and are characterized by violence of language and advocacy of cruelty against dissenters. It is frightening to read the stuff written in these sites and these sites represent the terrible dumping down of human intellect. It is estimated there are about 600 of these poison-spreaders on the net, there are even some specializing in vilifying a particular religion. culture, class of people. It is a hate-hell out there.

It must have taken Mr. Raman a huge effort to sift those sensible remarks from the mount of filth available..

very very well written my friend bhaumik. you should post more on this forum. it is indeed frightening to see these hindutva website and the arrogance and utter ignorance of the people who run them. reminds one of the writings of golwalkar and savarkar -- petty goondas out there to frighten people in the name of fascism.

I am a BJP supporter and I am dissapointed by the dismal performance. However, I am happy that:
1. Paswan lost
2. Lalu & Mulayam very dispensable now
3. All listed mafias lost in U.P.
4. At last W.B. woke-up.

Congratulations to MMS as he was the one factor which ensured this resounding victory for congress. Without the alliance burden he should perform better in the national interest.
