Ha lk at minorities will always vote for the hand even if the whole dynasty is caught on camera denouncing India or taking huge bribes. The countrymen themselves want to elect those who want to destroy the country. The rest of us Indians, therefore, are doomed

Rahul, Sachin Pilot, Jyotiraditya Scindia are being over projected and popularised by the media since their late fathers represented Cong-I. How about other unknown youngesters in the Cong-I party not being projected by the media ??
For a healthy democracy the media should have given the nation with young or middle aged men and women from various political parties/industry /all walks of life, instead of projecting "a selected few".

Non-democratic dynastic party rules the largest democracy of the World. That's the irony of the times.
Think about the hard working party workers who may be extremely capable of winning elections and representing true India, but unless you are connected to the Sonia-Rahul don't expect anything.

Hedge you are correct.I have seen turncoats such as Jaipal Reddy, Renuka chowdary,becoming cabinet ministers in the then Rajiv and now UPA governments leaving behind experienced,senior and grass root leaders in the Cong-I party. But capable leaders swallow the bitter pill.

Total voter turnout in all constituencies in all states and in all phases is 50% among which the following people will only vote:

1.35-40% lower caste H1ndus(SC/ST/other tribals).

2.15% Musl1ms.

3.5% Xt1nas.

Since voter turn out is only 50%, They will represent 85% of total vote and obviously they are vote bank oif Con-gress :-)

DREAMS SHATTERED FOR RSS AND SANG PARIVAR.
by wasym ahmed on May 17, 2009 02:02 PM  | Hide replies

The results of 2009 election has shattered the dreams of Rss and sang parivar. The BJP not only made a huge mistake by promoting narendra modi as the future Prime minister of india but also made a mistake in supporting varun gandhi. If BJP wants to be the national party it has to accept the fact that india has not one but many religions. It cannot rule the country with the votes of a particular community. BJP's agenda of hindutva is nothing but a 16th century old agenda. If BJP does not stop with the mandir masjid politics it will never come to power.

Making a Gandhi or anybody a PM is a million times better than killing thousands of your own countrymen, like the Hindutva animals did in Gujarat.

SHOCK 7 AWE
by murali sastry on May 17, 2009 02:01 PM  | Hide replies

There is absolutely no shock at all. UPA with its puppet CEC managed to make a mockery of democratic process called elections. How can voters of one entire street be eliminated from the electoral rolls, when they live in the same house & street? If this is not rigging what else?

Rightly said. It was a well planned conspiracy by the 'Italian' woman to plant here cronie in CEC and rig elections easily.

This is a classic case of sour grapes. Although I too wanted the Congress to lose & myself voted for the BJP, the fact is that the country has voted in favour of the congress. There is no use of crying foul now. This is a democracy & if the majority want the congress to rule India, then be it. Lets hope for the best.

BJP not defeated, Cong won

1. Karnatak-> 19 out of 28
2. Gujarat-> 16 out of 26
3. MP-> 19 out of 29
4. Chhatisgard-> 10 out of 11
5. Jharkhand-> 8, out of 14
6. Bihar-> 34 out of 40
7. Himachal-> 3 out of 4

All BJP ruled states done well.

Cong-> AP, Kerala, UP and WB done very well.

AP- BJP had no hope.
WB & Kerala-> Defeat of Left

Lessons BJP should learn

1. UP -> should be the only worry of BJP.Unless BJP improves it's tally in UP, no hope for BJP
2. Do not go for coalition whereever BJP has potential to be number one-> states like UP, Orissa and AP

Absolutely right; the NDA has not been defeated. The BJP ruled states have done exceeding well in their states (development is the main issue). Instead, Congress has successfully made use of the defeat of other parties who miserably failed in respective states. Further, the people of non-BJP states and most of the minorities wanted to oust BJP from power at any cost. They, instead of voting to regional parties, voted for Congress. These are the facts.

BJP won due to state CMs charisma and good developmental works and other state leaders do not have agenda to expand their base instead look for allies and search for crutches and they fight with each other hence BJP does not need rivals/enemies!!.
