What will be the fate of Indian parliament when 150 MP's are with criminal or tainted record. 35 are over 70 years. over 200 of them not even graduate. 55 are not much experience of political life. And lot of scrap showpieces.

Independents as usual can be bought anytime with lesse price.

Let us not get carried away by the 2009 election results and read too much in it. This simply was a vote against the obstacles of progress (namely, the Left and similar regional parties), with the Congress turning out to be the bigger beneficiary as the BJP hardly has a strong presence in many of the states that were earlier dominated by the commies or other regionals.

Someone's really bad in calculations. Go back to school dude. Being poor in maths is no good either.
From now onwards parents instead of making their children Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, CA etc they would rather train them to become politicians and filmstars and cricket players. Are these politicians ashamed of themselves. Filthiest creatures on this earth. Is government taking tax from us to feed themselves. I dont think even 30% of the money collected from tax will be utilised for improving the standard of living for the poorer.
One or two crore is a pittance considering the value of real estate. My father had purchased a house on various loans for 8 lacs in the early 80's. It was worth a crore when he sold it on retirement. After taxes et all he bought land in his native place in the mid nineties. Now he has over two crores in assets. Savings and Bank account is nothing unless you consider farm income which is hand to mouth. What is to be noted is that they spend over 17 times their asset value in the elections. That amount is crazier. I know communists MP's are richer than made out here. Is Rediff Communist.
