I pay a fair sum in Income Tax, besides investing in so-called tax-free investments that give a pittance by way of returns. Politics is business. The Italian Quattrochi would not have been making so many desparate attempts to get himself cleared, because that non-clearance was hampering, and there was a real possibility that a non-Congress government would have gone after him and his ill-gotten gains.

75% of what you paid as income tax is stolen by politicians govt servants contractors big business and gangsters.
how ridiculous. just ONE of the MPs has a wealth of some 700 crores, i forget which one. so average of the remaining 542 is 2300/542 = 4.2 crores. Which can be easily expected given that most of those people are above 50 years of age. i mean seriously, if you cant even amass wealth of 4 crores by the time you are 50, its really bad. Obviously this does not take into account the thousands of crores that are not accounted for.
