Yes, BJP will always face media as their rival apart from Conventional rivals like Congress. The ideology of BJP doesn't go well with the Convent educated English media but then BJP needs to understand that of they have to stay in the modern society, they need to handle media more sensibly. Media can be your worst enemy or best friend if handled sensibly. They should try keep the media on their side. It is difficult but they should at least try because media itself will not change their stance against BJP unless some miracle happens. There is an unimaginable bias against BJP in media. Vir Sanghvi, when asked about the next cadre of BJP leaders, commented Young Jerks of BJP. I mean who talks in this language? Even now, CNN-IBN is saying Murli Manohar Joshi suggested that Advani should retire from active politics. I saw his interview. Not a single time he said that. The news anchor said RSS also hinted that Advani should quit. I saw interview of RSS Spokesperson Ram Madhav. Not a single time he said that either. These news channels are just running a false propaganda against BJP. Either completely avoid giving interviews & reach people directly or make them friends and get help. Media may have played a big role in making difference in some of the urban constituencies where BJP has lost. This media is not going to change, so seriously, either avoid speaking with them or make them good friends. Just like Hindi quote, Paani me rehke magarmachh ke saath dushmani nahi ho sakti.

Congress should stick with pre-poll allies and stand on principles. They should not consider THESE OPPORTUNISTS like Lalu and Mulayam Singh. They can go to the independents for the support. They should consider the PRE-POLL allies in the decision making as they stood by them. FOR THE FIRST TIME, SHOW SOME SPINE AND STAND ON PRINCIPLES.
It is better to go ton the BJP for support on key legislations, because you are at least talking to a NATIONAL PARTY, not a bunch of opportunists.
Being a BJP supporter, I would love to see Narendra Modi coming out and give a small speech or hold a press conference and I would like him to say that like his party, he is humbled by people’s verdict and he would take responsibility on his part for the defeat and would like to correct his mistakes if found during analysis. Accepting your defeat gracefully won’t hurt. Bearing a big responsibility to campaign for party, attending 200 rallies, giving 100s of speeches & tons of interviews to media in studio & even on aircrafts before elections & then not coming out even a single time to give a reaction to media about BJP’s loss & accept people’s mandate doesn’t go well with the public. He needs to be in touch with masses outside Gujarat also if BJP wants him to promote for PM. If he goes for PM next election, he will face Rahul Gandhi directly. It will be a tough fight. His not coming out even after 48 hours of results won’t go well with the public. I already saw many comments on Rediff about it. People are waiting for him to come out & give reaction. May be he will be bashed for few days but he will gain more respect in eyes of people by taking responsibility just like other party members. Mr. Modi, please don’t isolate yourself from masses like that. People will be with you in your victory & people will be with you in your loss too. Your supporters will always be with you & you will gain more respect in the eyes of people who don’t like you if you claim responsibility.

BJP should focus on NATION BUILDING, VOLUNTEER WORK in villages, educating the masses and making them aware. Fight CORRUPT PRACTICES in the Govt. It should stop focusing on RELIGION. HOWEVER, it should increase public awareness on UNIFORM CIVIL CODE.
It should NOT BLINDLY OPPOSE CONGRESS FOR THE SAKE OF OPPOSING, and make itself a RESPONSIBLE PARTY with NATION'S WELFARE in its heart. IT SHOULD NEVER COMPROMISE ON PRINCIPLES.
People ultimately like people who stand on principles and are honest.

I do agree partly by your comments, but do you see people like Sibel (chandani Chawk), Gandhi family (bofors), YRREddy (AP) are non-Corroupt?
AP GOVT IS VOTED AND IS THE MOST CORROUPT GOVT IN INDIA. This is not BJP says, this is CNN-IBN, NDTV says through polls.
BJP has to fight fight the westen channels like ndtv, cnn-ibn and times group and then fight POLLS.
