DMK wins

It's only effective managements(read expolitation) of 'resource".DMK used effectively, money, musle and administrative machinary for its candidates only with the objective of seuring more seats to effectively twist the arms of congress in minstry formation. But though congress winning pecentage against the seat contested compared to DMK is less , at all iIndia level it improved its talley to effectively stop bullying by the partners.Karunanidhi may find going tough in getting his wish list. Now he has three MPs from his family and will be (vested) interested to getting them ministiral berths at the cost other MPs elected.

Also DMK did not side so much with LTTE this time ( becaue of fear of congress dismissing it), that has made people feel safe rather than supporting LTTE oriented parties.
TN people does not support LTTE at all.

very simple... Vijayakanth cut into AIADMK votes in a big way...but for that AIADMK would have won atleast 30 seats ... even in last assembly elections AIADMK would have formed the govt but for Vijayakanth's intention of helping DMK for his own reasons.

Why Tamilnadu chose D M K , because, D M K distributed money, D M K cheated poor with false promise of T V sets i kg rice ( which is not fit for human consumption amd reeks with bad smell), D M K went out of the window to appease the minority, D M K cheated the educated with promise of devolopment. It is indeed a sad day for Tamilnadu.

Can any one dispute the ugly money power that had played a bigger role this time? It is time that Election Commission is constituted by Supreme Court and made answerable only to it We must have new laws which will mandate all candidates to undergo 100% scrutiny of their net worth along with that of their kith and kin too and all their IT and Wealth Tax returns for if not 10 atleast last 5 years to be srutinised and made public How many politicians like Karunanidhi, Dayanidhi, Alagiri, Stalin, TR Baalu, Jayalalitha, Sonia, Mulayam, Sharad Power, Raj Thakre, Lalu ( the list is not exhaustive)and their likes will agree to this strict law? I can bet my last buck that none of these filthily rich and corrupt politicians will ever agree to this

God alone can save our beloved India from the clutches of these scoundrels and debauchs

Sonia congress again form Govt...to convert India to Christianity
by Jaihind Bharath on May 17, 2009 09:05 AM

Alas,We pity Indian people. They, without thinking about the future, had selected Sonia Congress as the single largest party.Indian Hindus have become spinelss&lack in self-respect&self-prestige for their own country.Sonia cunningly keep MMS as armour in front of her&has been doing all activities against the Holy-Indian country(especially against Majority Hindus) & no surprise if India will become Minorities turn to Majorities and Majority Hindus turn to Minorities,if the same cunning plans of Sonia & her christian son Rahul(he again married to a foreign girl) & her christian daughter Priyanka(she is married to foreigner Christian Robert) are allowed to continue. By keeping NDA out,the Indians had done enough damage for nation&themselves for long term.At least, from now on,Mayawati of UP/Biju of Orissa and BJP should forget their past differences and make a permanent alignment with NDA again. In T Nadu,AIADMK should form non-lasting alliance with Vijaikanth's DMDK. Just because KK wins this election, it does not mean he is good. He favoured only his family always. The Cine world had not compaigned against DMK for fear of ugly retaliation from KK and Stalin&Alagiri.People very well know as to how MK Alagiri won this election in Madurai.I pity Indian Public who are in Madurai-how they do it-even after knowing his hooliganism & rowdism in Madurai. It shows people are afraid to vote against Alagiri.Let DMK stop allying with Sonia Cong& hereafter ally with patriotic NDA to save nation.

DMK won by RIGGING EVM
by p r on May 17, 2009 09:03 AM  | Hide replies

DMK in TM and YSR in AP won only by rigging EVMs. This was caught on tape in one of the places, but the news channel was threatened by DMK goondas into not telecasting it. If not for rigging EVM, how did people like Chidambaram suddenly win, after trailing all along? This is a completely EVM rigged win.

DMK Win
by kalyanaraman venkatasubramanian on May 17, 2009 08:52 AM  | Hide replies

I think DMK has won because people know only congress can form a govt in centre. Though there were lot of factors against DMK in election oppostion parties fail to take advantage of this.Though Jayalalitha is great leader and adminstrator she couldn't reach out to people. ADMK should relay on it's own storng instead of forming alliance with parties which are really insignificance.PMK,MDMK and lef are opportunastic party in tamil nadu and have very little presence here. Both Dravidians party have major presence and they are cadare based party. It's golden opportunity for DMK and get lot of welfare message to TN. Instead of demanding cabinet berth they demand more project for TN. Allways only good governence will work and it's time DMK realises it.

All my houses in my village got 200/vote from DMK.. it amounted to nearly 100000 for 400 houses... so see how much thay might have spend for the total state. this money distribution started around 12.00 midnight.. ADMK people also got these money and voted for DMK.. its all money that won. no law and order and here again I will never speak of ours a largest democracy best culture and such kind of nonsense again, beggers everywhere, really ashamed to be part of it.

I agree most of your comments but I dont agree that people knew only congress can form a govt in centre. If that was the case why did senior congress leaders like Thangabalu, Elangovan lost? Even Chidambaram won narrowly (conspiracy?). But DMK should not be complacent thinking that they can retain power in 2011. They should try to do some good things to TN in the next 2 years. As for ADMK, as long as they are not forming an alliance with DMDK (Vijaykanth), I think they are going to face the set back every time as Vijaykanth splits the vote and it goes against ADMK. If ADMK DMDK BJP joins together in 2011 assembly against DMK congress, it will be a tough fight.

Patrick is right. People were loyal voting for DMK after getting cash the day before elections. Money power wins !! Good chance for DMK to take the returns for the investment made. ROI will be good :-)

Money power wins over democracy
by Super star on May 17, 2009 08:51 AM  | Hide replies

Everyone in TN knows that it was just money power that sustained and had the final say in this election. The parties targeted lot of rural areas and spent lot of money (every family got Rs.500) This is a crap !! What was Election commission doing? Whole world knows this but they could not take any action (because of the ruling party or muscle power?). God save India
