Manmohan will induct Talibanis in his cabinate and Afjal guru can live another 5 years as a special guest in India Jail (guest house).
Sheela Bhatt and the congress suporters should not that the voting % was between 45 to 50% in most states. This was lower than the 2004 election. And the election was held in tghe middle of a peak summer. Congress knows very well that the middle class will not ventur out and stand in the hot summer in a queue to vote. The labour and poor are used to this heat and do not mind standing in the heat to vote. And most of the labour class and poor are still swayed by the congress's false promises. The congress knows very well that the educated and more balanced middle class will vote largely for BJP. That's why they held the election. They also had a very pro-election commissioner this time. So main reasons why congress won this time are:
1. Middle Class did not vote in large numbers. How else will you explain 50% voting. 2. The heat of the summer drove away the middle class. The poor and labour class did come out and mainly voted for Congress and the regional parties.
as long as the middle class does not vote in large numbers and remains indifferent, we will get the govt we deserve. Yatha Raja Tatha Prajaa.

absolutely correct...this peak summers is nt a correct time to hold elections..i remember how much effort it took for me to reach the booth without any transport..at one time I did give up and I think this is what happens with most of the middle class and upper class population.

That was the most ridiculous statement I've heard. It's not as if that the voting percentage had been 100% when BJP had come in power earlier. Stop blaming the class and accept people's verdict. if the voting fraction is low i.e 50% it's been more or less the same evry 5 years. So accept people's verdict. the people does need a stable governement with right view point.

giju thomas No problems in accepting the people's verdict. But, 1. Would you have accepted the same verdict without cribbing if NDA had the upperhand. 2. Modi has democratically won in Gujarat twice but still our "secularists" have not come to terms with it. Why don't you try making them accept and respect it as people's verdict

Find excuses, don't accept defeat. If you project an 82 year old,Rath yatric as PM youngsters are not going to vote for you.PM in waiting had no policies spelt,he had only one sentence against Dr. Manmohan Singh,,'weak PM' that didn't work. That is a problem with Mr. LKAdvani.literate people didn't vote for BJP they all turned to MMS. BJP lost the oppertunity during trust vote for Nuclear deal, it would have been in good books of people of India had they supported deal.Instead Mr.waiting PM chose disastrous way of opposing it for the sake of politic. Mr.PM in waiting was always telling that this (Congi Govt) willnot complete 5 year term, and for that reason he opposed trusr vote.people of India as punished him for his filthy politic. people of India are for progress and not for instability. Long live Democracy.
Showing Muslims,Christians, Minority communities AND Pakistan as an excuse, BJP is trying to polarize Hindus VERSUS Rest of the Communities Votes in India. However BJP did not FORESEE that propagating Hinduism will intrinsically IGNITE Casteism in India.
As per Mandal Commission, 54% Indians are BCs and 25% SC/STs. And these communities will eventually INSULATE themselves from BJP's Hinduism. Kumaraswamy, Naveen Patnaik, Nitish Kumar have just started deserting BJP's alliance. BC leaders like Modi will do the same in future.
* And the truth is there is NO such thing as Hinduism **till** 85% of all registered marriages in India are INTER-CASTE. * Till the there are NO Hindus in India.

I believe in fair game. If Congress has won we accept that.
Now I only wish that they bring in good guys into the government as Ministers. e.g Shashi Tharoor, Sachin Pilot, etc etc and keep bad ones out viz Arjun Singh, Laloo yadav, Antulay.
Their problem will be largely solved if bad guys like Laloo, Paswan, Antulay etc loses.
One thing that we can safely say about the comments here is that they don't reflect the opinions of the majority of Indians. Most comments here are pro-BJP but the party that got elected is UPA.

Majority of those who vote are minorities and old poor people in India who are brainwashed to believe in Congress only on the grounds of being secular which every Party in India is trying to achieve for votes... People do not want/unaware of how individuals in such parties make huge money at the expense of nation's resources. Though who wish for things to get better unfortunately do not vote.
