Our communists are anti-growth.SO no need of looking at china.See the dilapidated buses running in kolkata.Including the auto's run on kata tel(poisonous coctail of petrol naptha).See the unionised bus drivers mowing down the general public and escaping.See the unionised hospital employees giving extremely shabby service. No industry and existing industry closed due to unions.Bankrupt land acquitision policy where government and its goons purchasing land forcibly for peanuts developing the land at state cost and profiting from it.So left and communist are dead in india and would be dead in west bengal within few years.

Why BJP's Hinduism HAD backfired in Elections?
by New York on May 16, 2009 12:29 PM  | Hide replies

Showing Muslims,Christians, Minority communities AND Pakistan as an excuse,
BJP is trying to polarize Hindus VERSUS Rest of the Communities Votes in India.
However BJP did not realize that propagating Hinduism will intrinsically IGNITE Casteism in India.

As per Mandal Commission, 54% Indians are BCs and 25% SC/STs.
And these communities will eventually INSULATE themselves from BJP's Hinduism.
Kumaraswamy, Naveen Patnaik, Nitish Kumar have just started.
BC leaders like Modi will do the same in future.

* And the TRUTH is there is NO such thing as Hinduism **till** 85% of all registered marriages in India are INTER-CASTE.

There is no big deal about kerala. The missionaries decided who should win and the converted s voted accordingly. Result Congress won in Kerala. Ex: See the result in Kottayam and Ernakulam. Hey missionaries please convert more people and here is the Gods own country for you. You can sell this to Italy, US or whom ever u want and Make it as a separate country for CHRISTIAN's. Our so called 100% literates, who are opportunist's, are ready to get converted for a job in US or UK. Oh god please save us, oh sorry oh Jesus..

Dear mr Lal ,

Now that yours has become red , please stop destroying the country in the name of religion .
If it is only religion which would determine the winner then what is happening in UP , WB ? or for that matter Bihar which has a very sizable muslim population ? Think rationally .

that's not true ! look into the state of kerala where the Left had quite a say..it has devestated the state. Left should be routed out if any strides for development needs to be made. This verdict is based on develoment and stability

Candidates
by Rajesh Rajendra on May 16, 2009 12:23 PM

If UDF would have selected right candidates they would have won even more seates in Kerala. Palakkad is the best example, the imported Congress candidate lost the batle to the local CPM candidate for a narrow margine despite M R Murali factor. If Congress would have selected a local candidate (from Palakkad District itself) the result would have been deffenitely different. This should be a lesson for all parties..

Ballot and Karat
by SIDDHARTHAN kaknat on May 16, 2009 12:08 PM  | Hide replies

From inside every politician, except a few you can count on your figer-tips,is the same. They want to remain in and retain power, wield it and to make the most of it for themselves and their psycophants. They thrive in a society which is beset with a thousand and one problems and throng these unscrupulous men for favours shamelessly. As a people, we have no moral right to bash them because these characters are conceived and created by us. And when it comes to elections, we as a people, react funnily. One day, we instal criminals, rapists, murderers and those thugs who plundered the society and next day, we remove them as if we did not know anything.

We and our politicians are made for each other.

And what is responsible for it? None other than the so called democracy we boast about! The illiterate population of UP, Bihar, and MP decides the fate of the literate elsewhere. Because it is the number that matters. Can we say that this country is led by those who have not seen a blackboard? Yes, this is the fact. Do we stand a chance to improve ourselves? No.

Live long the great demoratic circus on the earth!
