Though i am not a staunch supporter of congress. But i do think that the CPM got what it deserved the best in Kannur. Butchering people to settle scores will lead to nothing more than failure. And this is evident from this verdict. Instead of concentrating on developmental activities they concentrate on killing and justifying the brutal act. No wonder young leaders in your CMP's own cadre loose faith in your own party (Ref: Abdulla Kutty).

Pinarayi has destroyed the left.
There were serious ideological flaws to start with. But at least CPM had good, clean leaders in the past.

The entire bunch of politicians, of CPM especially Pinarayi and Achyutanandan need to be shown the door. They fought among themselves and destroyed the image of CPM in Kerala. Let us all pray for their grand exit from the political scene.
Kerala needs a political revamp to lead the state in this difficult time. Irrespective of parties, educated and enlightened people like Sasi Tharoor should come forward and fight elections for the sake of the poor and shift them from that bracket to the next. All said and done, it is the individual that matters; not the party.

six-seater for CPI
by Kes Som on May 16, 2009 12:56 PM  | Hide replies

Has anyone realized that the entire parliamentary group of the CPI (those self-pompous fools) can go to the parliament sitting in a single six-seater rickshaw?

But channels like NDTV & IBN will continue to give them undeserved importance.

Had the BJP focussed on real time issues instead of taking potshots at the PM and shown restraint in their speeches during the terrorist attack, where they were blaming all and sundry while the operation was going on showed them in a bad light also the utterance of Varun Gandhi may have gained him a seat but has proved detrimental to the party in whole.

It seems that now they would revert back to their old hardline hindutva ways which will alienate them even further with the young voters
the same applies to the left also they were the worm in the apple during the UPA days opposing everything just for the sake of it
I think that this result shows that the comrades have to wake up to reality and inject new blood and thoughts to their policies to find takers

That is not the reason for congress victory. Anti LDF sentiment is the only reason for UDF victory.

RED BASTION CRUMBLES
by Arvind Kumar on May 16, 2009 12:44 PM

There is one and only one reason why our comrades couldnt get their act together- PINARAYI VIJAYAN, the STALIN- of gods own socialist republic of Kerala.

To be fair to him he is the only one who is showing some spine in the left wing. Atleast he has his way at the state .All the other cowards in the polit bureau are too busy sucking up to him, lead by the sly Karat and co.
