Prakash Karat is the biggest S.O.B this side of suez cannal , if he had his way he would sell India to the chinese , and the people of India should never vote for a person who is so anti India and a deshdrohi.
he not only for his personal gains messed up with the centre and also made people of bengal suffer because of pulling out of tata from nandigram, he is like chandan basu so called son of jyoti basu , who where ever he has put his hand has been ruined.
So the I appeal to the public of India and specially the public of west bengal (which boasted of industries once and has gone to dogs now because of so called left front) to throw the commies out to the bay of bengal and that to the deepest part so that they can never ever come back on shores of india .

Prakash Karat
by oldruff on May 13, 2009 07:15 PM  | Hide replies

Prakash Karat is a die hard communist- He has done only one simple thing. Stick to his ideology, and he did just that- please remember that anti-Americanisim is the genesis or the very reason why commumists exist, and the problem is that he is not a hypocrite like a Pianarayi Vijayan - who has amassed enormous wealth under the name of communism. Even the West Bengal communist model is not exactly communist in nature- it is fedualistic at best. Prakash Karat belongs to the old guard like EMS Namboodripad - who lived and died as true communists. The sad part is that present day politics have no room for ideology, be it the congress or the BJP or communists or any other parties, hence karat is an outsider. Even within his party, people like P vijayan, and some bengal leaders do not like Karat since he is supposedly idealistic and ideology driven. Sadly, our nation needs just that, political parties sticking to their ideologies in the truest sense, only then there will be no room for nonsensical coalitaion drama( or dharma?) and people like HD Kumaraswamy or Deve Gowda dont occupy 30 minutes of prime time on TV for something ridiculous. India needs a strong political system based on strong ideology, be it whatever- Karat just demonstrated that, and demonstrated in a hard hitting fashion. And everyone else became uncomfortable since they themselves do not remember what ideology is!

Oops. Your views are contradict. Karat is the one who supports Pinarayi Vijayan and that too openly. If he is a true ideologist, why he is not asking Vijayan to come out clean on the scandal. He is the one who is shielding Vijayan in the politburo. Let cases against Vijayan be politically motivated, but if he is innocent he can prove it in an open court.
That's what a true communist must do. Karat is immature and does not deserve to be CPM's leader.

What ideology of Prakash Karat you have talking about who has never won an election.

1. When the chance of Jyoti Basu came to become PM, it is Mr Karat who has invoked communist ideology to block Mr basu. Now the same Karat is talking about joining ministry,(and possibly day dreaming of becoming PM through third front, which has already fallen apart)

2. Making personal attacks against Dr Manmohan Singh

3. After last election he was trying his level best to include SP in UPA Govt. The same SP when kicked CPM, he has gone to BSP and trying to prop Mayavati as PM. BSP is a casteist pary. Which communist ideology support caste system?

4. He is a big fool who will lose all his relevance after the election and will make CPM backward by 50 years.

Exactly.I fully agree.
That shows Karat's ideology.
He is trying to run the party along with his wife --- as if this is not family politics.
CPM should be unabbreviated as Convenience Politics of India

What could be the biggest surprise of Election 2009?
by Ajay Kanwar on May 13, 2009 06:27 PM  | Hide replies

BJP and Congress pick up 30-40 seats in UP

Congress holds on in Andhra Pradesh

DMK holds on in Tamil Nadu

Jayalalithaa sweeps all seats and moves to UPA

The Left gets wiped out in West Bengal (less than 20 seats)

One of the formations ends up sweeping Maharashtra

Nitish emerges as head of "NDA plus others" govt

Pawar emerges as head of "UPA plus others" govt

Cong or BJP change their PM candidate to form a govt

No one can form a govt & we have fresh elections
