Sameer, if you believe in the Biible theory of creation, there is more reason for not fighting in the name of religions. Then we all share the same common ancestry. Even if there is a G0D, he/she/it is like a gardener who likes to have different kinds of flowers in his garden. Otherwise there would have been just one re1igion instead of more than 2000 re1igions the world over. If he wanted us to worship him, he would have programmed our brain accordingly and there would not have been atheists like me. We learn to worship by watching our elders where as even a new born child breathes. There is no need to teach the child how to breathe like teaching people how to worship in different ways!!!!!!!!!! On another discussion board another person had told me that "not even a hair falls from our head without the knowledge of G0d (I doubt whether the g0d has all the time to keep count of hair on my head!!!!!). When you are fighting in the name of religions, you are in fact going against the will of the G0D you believe. We all belong to the same specie called "ho*mo sapien sapien". All other divisions are man-made.

Sameer, Manusmriti is not a Veda. It is something like your Sharia. The hindus have abandoned the same hundreds of years back. We are now following modern civil laws.
H1nduism is not dependent on ONE BOOK. We do not have any concept of "divine revealation" and unchangeability till the "last day of judgement". Despite all short-comings, H1nduism is dynamic enough to change with time. Change with time or time will change you. That is the rule of nature.

Well the concept of caste comes from vedas and you know it. This is my last post on this topic and you and I both know there are volumes of material promoting caste system in h1ndu scriptures. I am not interested in h1nduism because I dont care what a h1ndu does. I am interested in my faith and my faith alone. I really dont care about your caste system or sati system or idol worship system. Good for you if you follow it and good for you if you dont. I am more interested in discussing my faith.

There is NO LITERATURE PROMOTING CASTE SYSTEM. Caste system was more of a contribution of 1slamic invaders and European colonizers. Go the the web of "Vanjaras" of Maharashtra and understand how the Britishers made them a "criminal tribe" and how prosperous they were before the laying of Railway lines.

There is no "divine zone" at Tirupati temple. Only just the temple premises is considered sacred by some people. Who his forcing any one to go to Tirupati? I have not visited Tirupati desptie staying in Chennai and passing thru the nearest Rly Stn (Renigunta) hundreds of times.
