MLA visit to our area
by Umamaheswaran Dhananjayan on May 08, 2009 11:30 AM  | Hide replies

I live in Maduravoyal since 1999. In spite of the good infrastructure development on the National highway, there is very little road work done in the residential areas. There is no water lines, sewage lines or storm water drains. Electricity supply is also erratic.

We had invited our MLA to our area to discuss the above problems. He accepted our invitation and visited our area only to say that our area is highly polluted and not suitable for him to visit us regularly. He also added that he would not even drink a glass of water in Maduravoyal as it would affect his health!!!

its better to have 500 people with character and similarities to a king like Shivaji, administration as of now cannot take India to its glory and heights it once enjoyed. Its not democracy which binds our nation; its Shri Ram and Shri Krishna who lives in the hearts of everyone born on this soil which brings us together so a party with a manifesto close this ideology can only do a good job for our nation.

The Common Man is sick of the politicians
by subhash sirur on May 08, 2009 11:14 AM  | Hide replies

There is no way that a common man can excercise his vote to elect a good man to represent them.THERE ARE NO GOOD MEN LEFT IN ANY PARTY.AND THOSE WHO STAND FOR ELECTIONS ARE PEOPLE WHO HAVE SOLD THEIR SOULS.I WOULD WORSHIP A LADY WHO SELLS HER BODY BUT HAS HER SOUL INTACT.I am sick of watching Arnab Goswami and Barkha Dutt interviewing politicians on the TV programmes. Both these anchors do not give a chance to the common man to ask questions to these politicians. If they did, none of the party spokespersons as they are called would never come on the show. The media is playing it safe.Sick of Dr.Abhishek Singhvi, who was called a person of no consequence by none other than his own party member Mr.A.R.Antulay,though Mr.Antulay himself is not a person of any consequence.Sick of Jayanti Natarajan and other BJP dodos'

How these politicians behave on and off the stage/media is interesting to watch. Most of the politicians and their spokes persons have been either evasive in their answers or spoke no sense. Considering the fluid situation and probability of no single party securing majority or even coming colsure to it, without any exception, all the spokes persons have told the media to wait and watch. None of the political parties have any standard and have been changing tunes very often.

Most of the well informed citizen posting on this platform have been very critical and indicated no future for the nation with the present political culture playing havoc. All of us have become desperate as nothing worthwhile can be done with the existing system.

Politicians and media have hijacked Indian democracy
by sanjay agarwal on May 08, 2009 11:08 AM  | Hide replies

Its shame to see that our beautiful country has been virtually hijacked by Politians and media in name of democracy, poor peole, illetracy etc. Both sections thrives on this, one leads and other follows.

Its further shame to see, how both sections have distanced apart from the bottom section of society leaving them to their mercy. Politians act like kings and ministers, and media like entertainer and story teller.
Caste divides India, and both sections have used them effective to their advantage.
Its shame to see most media journalist talking pseudo way and portraying politicians as their patrons, and bashing public.

lets stop this, and also stop institutes like JNU, where such breed is being bred who are spoiling our country.
