Deceptively dangerous person
by VK SOMASEKHAR on May 02, 2009 05:21 PM  | Hide replies

If his looks are to be believed, he appears a gentleman, even his simple white dhoti is a good pretence but actually he is cunning, crooked and grossly corrupt. He is a time server and politically opportunist. Jayalalitha hates his shadow and this time she will definitely teach him a lesson that he will learn for his life. He is a disaster as FM and as Home Minister he was worse. Lanka issue is a good example, he stated that Sri Lanka has decleared a ceasefire and hostilities have ended but the fact is that nothing of that sort has hapenned, so whom is he lying? His word is not taken seriously either in Tamil Nadu or for that matter in the Centre. Ofcourse he is the back room boy of Sonia who also likes people like him who are shady, so he gels well with her now a days. PC has contributed precious little for Congress in Tamil Nadu but by the way, he started his own party and what is its status?? Nobody knows the beginning and obviously the end too

There was nothing great about Chidambaram as FM. The economy was good and Indian enterprise was forthcoming and all the engines "were firing at full speed". It is not because of him but inspite of him. The Serivice Tax is his child and the people of India will curse him forever for that.He might have made some reforms in the IT at clerical level but nothing great. We wish he loses.

Traditionally Tamilnadu used to supply the think tanks and intelligent proffessionals to our great country for proffessional governance. PC has done a good job as a whole.
He si a upcoming politician and all south people should support him.

South does not belong to you! If some Kerala Xians and seculars (at least what the communal Xians call themselves) like Sonia and her chamchas, don't include others! We know that you people have to support Sonia on church orders!

BJP/RSS/VHP should unite and save Bharath
by balaji on May 02, 2009 04:58 PM  | Hide replies

RSS has done so many good things for the suffering community- without looking at them whether they are Hindus or Muslims. Even Indira Gandhi acknowledged that during her days, when there was a disaster engulfed parts of AndharaPradesh. We also know that even in the Tsunami affected areas RSS has been doing good community service like so many other NGOs.
However, RSS has to blame itself for making the majority of the majority community uncomfortable by its ill thought and ill advised postures and silly talk even when Vajpayee was the PM. As a matter of fact it was RSS and VHP who are the real culprits for the BJP's failure during 2004 elections, but BJP top leadership is scared to talk about that as that will cause more problems to them. While, we are neither supporters or opponents of RSS, we feel that there is very good potential in this organisation, unutilised and if they try to direct it in the right direction, then they will be doing a yomen service to all the communities in INDIA irrespective of the religion they belong to......continued

The so called organizations are mirage and could do nothing except propelling hatred among people on the basis of religion. i had witnessed in a meeting called by Hindu Munnani ( Tamil form of RSS) at Chennai calling to form a Hindu merchants association ( seperate from other religion business people)
2. Hindus to boycot business firms run by other communities.
their justification for importing crude from Mideast is so peculiar, if india dont import crude the countries dont import food item and will starve- RSS want muslims/christians in india to be isolated but patronize muslims in Mideast because they need crude to travel in luxury cars.

will RSS call for these to be carried by Hindus

1) dont travel to foreign countries for work which is mostly christian/muslim.
2) dont use crude products. prefer travelling by bullock carts/cycle. MP CM was travelling for few days in cycle to protest the fuel price hike, why cant he practice it as a RSS Cadre
ETC ETC.

Chidu and tax success
by Mahesh Padmanabhan on May 02, 2009 04:53 PM

What has happened to chidu, if flogging common man of their clothes and molesting business of their so called profits are success then i guess Dawood is a better politician. Economy has registered a downward graph but our politicians (whether ruling or opposition) have registered upward graph in their networth. Oh!! Now i understand what success palaniappan is talking about.

by Rama Mani on May 02, 2009 04:51 PM

If this bandit Chidu's tenure as FM is success, then one does not know the meaning of success! Before he became FM, he was director of 22 companies including foreign ones. This time, he will be director of at least 50 plus companies! He did not know what his wife was doing! So he may not know that his relations had bought many hospital chains in TN!

Candidate for PM from Tamilnadu
by RAMAIAH on May 02, 2009 04:48 PM  | Hide replies

If any from Tamilnadu wants their state person from their state, the onyl hope in near future is Mr.P.C(atleast for next 10years). As a voter of Sivaganga, I can expect more from him. But as India he done well than the any other ministers/MP. In a mud of politics he is person with polite and decent. I will canvas atleast 100votes to him to ensure my constituency gets Cabinet minister fot this time too.

you must be a chamcha for this white clad looter. He is not for commnon man. He must be preparing budget for europian type economy. He is good delivering speaches, but a bad FM for India.
Kick him out from your constituency else, you will weep for the entire life for having elected this person. He is fit to be sweeper , really doubt.
How he amassed wealth by three times in a span of 5 years.Look at him and decide.
His support to all industrialists shows how corrupt he is ? That is why he is close to MK and seek his guidance for looting public money in legal manner.

Why do you complain so loud against Kerala sermon giving cheap moralist and of course he/she is most educated in his house? As Mr/Ms. Verghese is very secular, he/she has to support Sonia as she belongs to his/her religion too! At least try to understand what education and morals mean to some!

Had PC been given free hand, we would hv been in mess
by Ram Sharma on May 02, 2009 04:27 PM  | Hide replies

Had PC's wish to allow 51% foreign equity in banks, our banks would also hv gone bankrupt. Similarly, he also wanted PF money to b invested in shares. All the money would hv got vanished, as share prices went down from 21000 to 8500.

On both these counts Left saved us by blocking these moves.

chidu is not at all eligible for a finance minister or home minister. it is a best idea for sonia and MMS to create a new ministry for share market and make him as minister to help the big bulls ( not for ordinary small investors )
