Tell me some thing,Mamat did not oppose Dunlop, kanoria Jute mills,Metal Box etc.Why were these units closed?Did mamata opose Jindals? She did not because Jundals did not take any fertile land. But still Jindal is not going to start production now?Can you tell me why?Can you tell me why Govt is not thinking about the employment generation at that factory?

After 1991 we open policy in our country. Before that if any company wants to set up any industry more than 1 cr it has to get nod from Central Govt., but after 1991 it is gone. After this lot of compettion among states to attract investments. You have to provide better deal compared to other states, then you will get that investor. In Tata Nano same case happenned, nothing wrong is there. Govt. spent 140 Cr for land acquisition and gave reluxation in taxes and others. But in turn when Nano will roll out then Govt. will get back more and more and local people, above all state will be benefited. That is how it works everywhere. Modi gave 1100 acre land, 100 acre more than Bengal, gave 20 years VAT free, loan with very less interest and total around 30000 Cr reluxation, but Modi knows what his state will get back. Because He is not a Bengali. Do you think Modi is fool?

It is no wrong in giving incentives to the investors looking for future benifits.BUt why give multicropped land?(Modi did not give any fertile land to tatas). Why alow the investors to deal in selling of land and make huge profits? On top of that the incentives given is actually paid from the common man's pocket as increased taxes. So why keep common man in dark about the entire project?(why they cannot know exactly how many direct employments can be generated inside the project?

Modi is not a fool.he has given more land but sold the land exactly at market rate(I hope you didn't know this). He thought for the state. Not for "secret trade" with the tatas.

Modi sold the land at market price. So even if tatas sell it to anciliery units now, they cannot make huge profit there. He stopped Tata in getting into land business.

BCRay have done Durgapur, Kalyani. All these are on fertile land. In 70s Haldia has been built and for that 70 villages had been acquired. That is why we see present days Haldia. In Bengal's geographical situation we have to acquire some farm land and definitely with proper compensation.

West Bengal Geographical situation

Agricultural Land-63%
Forest-12%
Urban and Industrial area-22%
Barren land-3%
If tomorrow Mamata becomes railway minister definitely she will approve new new railines in Bengal. But surely for that Govt. has to acquire fertile land only. Then What will happen in this situation? Do you think people will give land to Mamata?

Where did you get this information that Durgapur was built on fertile land?It was purely one cropped land.and where did you get these data from? From the Govt?let me tell you there are more than 55 thusands closed factories in West bengal comprising of more than 10% land. Why didn't you take that into accouont? Why cannot incentives be given to revive atleast 10% of these factories?Economists have shown that there could be more employment generated from Tata plant if these small scale industries could have been revived with the 1500 crores incentives given to tatas.

In 1950s around 50% people were involved in cultivation, but now it is 3-4%. Most of the people are engaged in industry, service sectors. But still Americans are getting food. This kind of situation in all western countries. In Sweden, climate doesn't permit agriculture, that country is depending on totally industry. Similary, if we Indians want to reach standard of developed countries we have to go for massive industrialisation, there is no other way. One country can grow 4% annually with agriculture, but with industry it will grow 12%. You have to accept it. We have to decrease the dependency on agriculture like how western countries did. It might take years, but at some stage somebody has to start.

I think Buddhadev Bhattacharjee knows that there will negative impact, still he has to go on, we can't go backward. If tomorrow Mamata becomes CM what she will do? She will tell and do same thing what Buddha is doing now, if not Mamata will take us to ancient age.
One farmers father, forefathers were farmers, now this farmers sons are also farmers, if next generations are also same farmers, then this is not a development at all.
We Bengalies are just fighting each other for sake of CPM, Mamata, Cong. etc. etc., but nobody is thinking reality what must be done in this 21st century.

Mamata has always said that she will focuds more on the closed down units. If we really want to look forward,we need to look forward on industrial growth as a whole(Service as well as manufacturing indutry). Why till now tourism industry did not develop just as it is developed in other countries?(Even Sri Lanka is ahead of us in tourism). Why small scale industries are not given the priority when Punjab can do the same?).as per GDP Jharkhand is the lowest where the Tata had built up Jamshedpur.Did the state benifit anyway?
