Yes ! same as the Congress did with the Bangladesh Muslims in Assam...Kindly remember, MADRASSA curriculum in Bengal is the best in the WHOLE world. Students from any madrassa are capable to sit the Joint Entrance Exam for medical & engineering in any state...howz that??? and muslims in "Waste" Bengal are more into the mainstream progressive than any other states...even then if you consider them as threat then Blame "Nehru" for allowing them to stay back after partition...not the WB commies.
I agree, industrially, educationally, agriculturally bengal has degraded a lot or fallen places, but still one can have a stomach full lunch at only Rs. 10 at Kolkata...funny isn't it?

The CPM conspired with corporates in snatching away agricultural land and hand them over for industrialization. Singur and Nandigram are very fresh in our minds. Haldia is losing out its charm while Poilan is uncertain about the "city within city" project. The CPM state is short sighted and is only willing to ensure how to brow beat the opposition. It should instead look at development of the state and that will surely keep them in power if they do a good job of it.

Indian Tourism Industries could not develop as should be last 19 years due to fact that they have grown only for rich people and never bothered for 70 % lower middle classs and rural populations and Even could not develop new destinations as well ,I feel there is a huge scope in rural tourism like developing 4/5 scenic villages into one destinations where some river,some flowra,fauna,spring,pond ,small hillocks,with ethinic ,heritage,people,halls are available along with crop farming like wheat,rice ,sugar cane etc etc .India having 65 lakh villages can do wonder by promoting rural tourism with the help of village people itself for fooding,lodging ,camel.bullock cart driving .Its wonderfull when you live in a village with all these but if we can develop these villages into travel destinations then it become industries .If we can at least 20 % of these villages develop to rural tourism then there will be at least 10 lakh employment of rural populations with opening of some kind of one training institute on rural tourism to town level will create another 2 lakh jobs. This low budget rural tourism will attract large no of middle class as well as rich people domestically as well as internationally .As security can be a problem and to solve that we can create rural tourism police force also and another 10 lakh job creations .All these can be debvelop on 50-50 JV with GOV and PVT bodies. I think RT is the answer in this hour of financial crisis and improving purchasing power
While both CPIM and the Trinamool did politics on the Tata project in Singur, the question however remains one of ethics and egality. The issue is should fertile agricultural land be converted into industrial land and also when agricultural output is declining? Then is Ratan TATA above board? Should he get so much state funding over such a tiny car project? Too much politics has been played out rather than the nuances of economics.

We, the common people, suffer at the hands of these dirty politicians and their politics. Our voice cannot be heard by these existing governments just like the voice of the Indian people was not heard by the British government in the last century.
