Talibanism started the moment Mhd Bin Qasim attacked India. It manifested in the destruction of Somnath by Ghazni, the rape of Nalanda and Vikramshila by Khilji, the destruction of Keshav Rai temple by Aurangzeb. etc.

Varun's statement is surely going to cost BJP 5 to 8 seats this election. Such events upsets the national psych and leaves us wondering if the country and its netas have at all pogressed from the babri-era politics. Surely, top guns still see the electorate of India as fools who will get drawn to BJP by such statements. I have been a BJP supporter but such incidents just takes away the focus for what I see BJP stands for.
