secular media has been portraying Kasab Kasai, the killer as "baby-faced killerVarun is depicted – the devil, the real evil indian secularism
If it were one person, none would have cared. There is a certain type of politics behind it which is very virulent and is a cause of serious concern. Evidently even the BJP President is unable to cope with it.
The insiders in BJP would have known the facts about what was said and not said. It seems strange that the Party needs to await Court veridict to discover the truth internal to the party!
The first mistake was allying with Shiv Sena; which had notoriously backed Lt. Col Purohit to hilt and even offered to make him an MP. But then the matter could still have been externalized from NDA; but the present development offers no such scope.
It is for the leadership to show some character and stand by values for which so much good work has been done. Else, isolating BJP and RSS as communal would be the only safe option.

BJP, unless it makes amend, will find that those who were its most reliable friends shall hereafter be their worst enemies.

LKA was born in Pakistan and spent all his formative years there. MMS was born in Pakistan and so was Inderjit Gujral.
Let LKA not betray the land of his birth and earn ignominy as Pak Prez. Musharraf has done.
Pray for conduct of policy such that the issues needing mutual trust get resolved fairly and only the real guilty ones are accounted for.

wow you know everything, you sure you're not one of them.
is lacking in India. While Varun certainly was not tactful in his remarks, there is no ground to file a law suit against him. I have lived in USA for years, and yet to see a politician sued for speeches. I find this alarming indeed for India o bow down to one community.

See, when it comes to secularism, Indian is #1 and USA is not secular. Afzal Guru is safe in India but not in USA. Here politicians go for campaigning with an Osama Bin Laden, look-a-like, standing by side, we are secular. USA gives $25 million reward for Laden dead or alive. In secular India we give Rs. 25 crore reward for the head of the Bush. In indian Freedom of speech law, reading Satanic verses is criminal punishable to death, but i read the book in USA openly. can you see the difference? In india, we are free to make naked portrait of hindu god and goddess or Bharat mata but for Danish cartoon, India can go to war with Denmark. In India freedom of speech means what speech comes out from what mouth. There are some mouths which can say no wrong, and there are mouths which can say nothing right. So freedom is dependent or function of mouth, speech can always be justified.

US has very strong defamation law. And the illicit speech giver would not only go to jail, would lose millions and be promptly disowned by the Party, be it Republican or Democrat.
