Lousy Mumbaikars
by Satish Kamath on Apr 30, 2009 09:32 PM  | Hide replies

I wonder whether those wimps who came to light candles after massacres did really cast their vote. Mumbai is full of armchair socialists and bone lazy frivolous people. They should get a Raj Thakray for CM. then perhaps these laggards will finally turn out to vote, after it is too late as usual. In Mumbai, the intelligent Mumbaikar turns out only for Cinema and Cricket. Everything else is apathy for him or her.

REAL FACE OF biased INDIAN MEDIA.
by dhandu on Apr 30, 2009 09:29 PM  | Hide replies

Every media is owned by overseas Christian organisations. It was difficult to believe but the Election coverage by TV Media is prooving the point.
BUT NOW IT IS PROVED BEYOND DOUBT.
(1)No TV Media aired the News on the suicide of Senior Vadhera. If any such death had
happened in the family of a BJP person, the Media would have gone agog with the
news.
(2)Teestha Setalwad was exposed of creating most of the Gujarat Riot Stories and in
fact taken the Supreme court almost for a ride.Imagine a similar offence by the
opposite side. There would have been discussions, hen fights, opinion polls and
SMS surveys.

The MEDIA OF THIS DECADE WILL BE REMEMBERED FOR AGES TO COME. IT IS A BLOT ON JOURNALISM.

Is there any Indian who will lodge a criminal case on Testha Setalwad for her crimes against the communal harmony of this country?

Nobody even bothers about what the media says. Remember Gujarat 2002 & 2007???? Media said Modi had no chance. They had to eat their words. Media is just timepass in India without real issues. They are only on look out for TRPs and licking the feet of Congis.

ANY IDEA WHO HAS GOT GUTS TO STOP CONVERSION
by Lopesh S on Apr 30, 2009 09:28 PM  | Hide replies

After Kerala TN Orissa missionaries aggressive in AP and Karnataka
Alarming 5 fold increase in Kandhamal Christian population from six per cent in 1971 to 27 per cent in 2001 ,It began with the arrival of Christian missionaries in the area who found the remote region very conducive to conduct prosetylization amongst the poor tribals. The conversions continued unhindered until the arrival of Swami Laxmanananda who put strenuous efforts to stop conversions and help reconversion to Hinduism as well. If not for his effort Kandhamal would have been another Nagaland in the making where the separatist movement has wrecked havoc in the state.
The aggressive Christian proselytization in Orissa today pitched previously peaceful tribals into warring camps of Christians and non-Christian. This has has vitiated the peace that has existed with various communities for millenia.
Why Orissa
Orissa has been specially targeted because of a huge tribal population. This allows the missionaries to work from the scrutiny of the media and carry our their nefarious activities.
In Kandhamal district, for instance, the Christian population has increased from six per cent in 1971 to 27 per cent in 2001, despite a law enacted by the Orissa Legislature in 1967 to prevent conversion by allurement, coercion, bribery and cheating.

freedom of religion is guaranteed by the constitution ... why do you worry so much if a few convert to other religion? let them ... it's their religion and it's their wish

Yes one more thing, This Saint Thomas who came to India ages ago was also a "SALESMAN" for Chirstianity understood. faith in Christianity has reduced throughout the world and whole world knows that India is the only country with maximum worshipers and people who have faith in god.Throughtout the world chirstians are losing faith while only in India r stupid christian brothers are attending sunday mass due to compulsion not due to faith. Coz its complusory to attend sunday mass. We Hindus are just waiting for KALKI AVATAR, all this nonsense of conversion will stop coz Hindus are taught to have patience

there is a difference between when one wishes to convert with full conciousness, without any bribe and any selfish objective. while christian missionaries are converting the tribal under the influence of money just to increase the christian number. Christian Missionaries just want to sell their religion like any other "SALESMAN" , fooling the tribes under the name of religion.

no one is putting a gun to their head to convert ... the poor guy is hungry, he wants food ... he gets food and medical attention if he converts ... why wont he convert? if you cannot help a poor in need, why compalin if he changes his religion to get help?

you wont help him, and wont let him get help elsewhere either ... aren't YOU wrong?

The problem is that they will give a bag of rice, and other such stuffs once and tell to convert... After conversion, they will again forget that poor... Such conversions should be stopped.. I am not against conversions that take place after preaching.. But conversions made forcefully or by money shud be stopped

Ridiculous comment. The missionaries have always active in AP Karnataka and TN. And there is a healthy chrisitian population in these states. And people in these states live in harmony with the christians. The reason for conversion is the acceptance, equality and the Truth.

by Biryani Baba on Apr 30, 2009 09:27 PM  | Hide replies

All the Mumbaikars should hang their heads in shame for the low turnout. After all that the Mumbai has gone through it doesn't find the time to vote? No wonder you have some of the largest slums and the most heinous crimes. Carrying around candles and slogan souting won't help. Your votes are what bring change.
