defects in the brain.
by GIRIN PEGU on May 01, 2009 02:52 AM

it is seen that peoples suffer from certain problems in the brain. such defects are not serious in nature but dangerous in some aspects. however, talking about mayawati,is it possible for her to be the PM.i think a person who has no such defects in the brain can never expect the impossible.

Advani is all set to be the next PM
by Indian Indian on May 01, 2009 02:45 AM  | Hide replies

It's written on the walls nobody can deny the anti congress wave in the country...Congress is not coming back to power & Mayawati is not getting more than 30 seats, so all the assumptions of this author are wrong.

Media is leaving no stone unturned to ruturn the favor for the money they recieved from Congress....
Media has trivialize the whole election process, picking on non-issues, trivial issue, senseless issues is what our media is doing. How many of you saw Nitish speaking on media or Chandra babu or Yedirappa or Ashok Gehlot or Shivaraj Chauhan or Raman Kumar or Prakash Singh Badal or anybody else than Rahul Gandhi Sonia Gandhi Priyanka Gandhi, Advani & Modi are these 5 people the most important people in our country ? Our media has completly highjacked this election...They are running their own campaign where important things are Advani's tongue slip, Rahul kee Shaadee, Sharpness of Priyanka’s nose , Sonia Gandhi's Saree color, what a shameless and useless media...

Backing foreign investment doesn't mean killing swadeshi...Learn economics the BJP way, they propelled Indian economy with inward growth, by decreasing lending rates, at the same time being pro liberalization...MMS is just an advertisement, it was more PV Narsimha Rao, than him who did good job in that congress govt. his tenure as PM is a black spot

Second Law of Thermodynamics
by Sachin Purohit on May 01, 2009 02:09 AM  | Hide replies

Entropy has already affected Indian democratic system. Any closed system tends to move from a state of array to a state of disarray and not the other way round. With each passing election, it is only going to get more and more disarrayed. Soon, we will become party-less. Each individual, his/her own - randomly allying and unallying with other individual MP. We will have 545 individuals allying with others of their kind so long as their individual interests are met. The moment their individual interest is not met by the alliance, they will move over with other individuals. There is will be a state of Brownian motion amongst the MPs. Only pure statistically, we will be able to say who may become the PM. I wonder what will be the fate of this nation in this kind of random political environment. But the way things are going, it seems to be unavoidable, unless this closed system is opened and corrected by some amendatory act.

This is exactly what happens in India. People have a multitude of opinions and express them without fear thinking that no one will call them out.

Check your laws of thermo.....

By the way, you don't need more laws, you need to stop opportunistic alliances from winning. Defeat them and things will improve........Defeat criminals then political parties will stop fielding them.

Parliament is a reflection of our society, what is wrong with the society is reflected in parliament, not the other way round

The collection of these individual politicians know the very fact that the only thing that can defeat them is public awareness. So there is a collective consensus amongst them (the only thing they agree on) to see to it that there is no public awareness. So long as your and mine vote is not an aware vote, it is going to be a random vote. The randomness averages out in such a way that there will always be a status quo or more disarray, but certainly not greater order. This is statistics. You can not beat statistics, no matter how hard you try. Take a jar. Fill it with wheat first, then rice. The initial state is that of order - two distinguishable layers (two party system). Shake it for some time. You will see there no longer are two layers. They have got evenly mixed up. No amount of further shaking will reverse the process to the earlier state of order. For separating them out, you have to open the jar and separate out the grains - an outside change.

The election results show that oppourtunistic people have lost: Lalu, Paswan, PMK, TRS, Gowda party, Naidu garu, Comrade Karat. Even crimial elements lost this time. Shahabuddin, proxies of Pappu Yadav etc.

And your knowledge of second law of thermo is so wrong. If you say they are "evenly" mixed up, it is more ordered. In any case, they are two distinct phases and are completely separable. The universal law of nature is that things go towards equilibrium. Entropy is a measure of randomness or the deviation from equilibrium. The more the entropy, the greater the energy states, the more unstable/random the system will be.

there is no such provision in the constitution,so it will be better to adopt measures to develop the political awareness of the voters.

Why did people give her full majority then. If she has done wrong, why elect her in the first place???? Give her power and hope she will be prosecuted...

People did not give her full majority. Its just that the outcome of random voting (with a little bit of pro-mayawati swing) made sure that one of the parties - BSP - got full majority. Her vote share is much less than anti-her vote share. Also her vote share must be just a couple of percentage points more than her nearest rival party.

She got full majority. There can be no two opinions about it. You can go around playing the game of swings and vote shares but every party entered the contest knowing the rules: win as many MLAs as possible. And she did it, more than half of them.
